No wonder the model and skin itself of the turret was a bit different from the chassis. It looked familiar.

Kid I'm disappointed. =(

I want to officially apologize for this. I swear I had no idea that that theft was going on. I was told that the turret came from Zeke's model of the Mammoth (and he's on the team too, so there would have been little problem). I will immediately remove and replace it. If it helps to compensate for this, I intend to see what kid himself has today and unless he has a really good reason, he's off the team. I honestly hope that The Hunter and the rest of the community will not hold this against either ZHU or myself.

Again, I offer my deepest apologies,

No, Zeke's one is different:
Zeke's:

Hunter's:

If you look carefully at the front of Zeke's turret, the Barrels go over an angled area, whereas on Hunter's they go over a flat area.

Alias beat me to it. Kid said that it was either his or Zeke's, but we were gonna just credit Zeke just in case he got it wrong. I'm still not sure why he didn't credit him in the render/update pic...

EDIT: Alias beat me to it.

LDM, if I we're you I'd kick him, but it's your choice, although I do recommend it just in case he steals something else. Although what really makes this an atrocity is because Kid stole it from a leaked beta.

I believe in the "innocent till proven guilty" system. That being said, there is absolutely no way he can weasel out of this one. I would definitely expect a team with one less member tomorrow morning.

@LDM125 no worries i didn't blame you as i was pretty sure you wouldn't be aware of it beeing this way.

@Kid if your having a folder with all w3dfiles from me then i suggest you clean up that place by deleting them.
My models are not free for the taking unless it tell otherwise.

I'm sure Kid deserves a second chance, it's probably a honest mistake and not a intentional one meant to steal Hunter's model, although it would be hard to say that he should escape without reprecussions for what he did by not remembering where the models came from and used it.

Honest mistake? BS!

He took the leaked beta files, he did use Hunters work for his avatar, he did use Hunters work for his model. He should get rid of his turquoise Project Team batch!

Holy shit, it turned in to a shit storm quick in here. So Kid has the leaked beta? Maybe his friend has it and Kid didn't know about it till now.

Why are you guys screaming over a leaked beta? The fact that it is leaked would warrent anyone not in the mod team to want to take a look to see what's new, for it is human nature to do so. It's not like he refused to change it.

For a moment there I thought I was in trouble when I saw my name :) I thought the turret was familiar, but I thought it was because it belonged the CnC 3 Mammoth. Well everything worked out in the end^^

If you think for one second that it is an honest mistake to steal the work of another and pass it off as your own to claim glory and recognition then you are living in Cloud Cuckoo Land and live by a set of different morals than the rest of us.

But it would be a honest mistake it you were browsing through your the files for turrets from your team, looking for something when this Hunter's turret showed up. Judging by the sheer size of the amount of files a mod has and then you multiply that by two for 2 mods, you're bound to forget which mod it came from unless it came from. He might have thought it was Zeke's and used it without giving it a second thought since they both look similar at a glance.

Maybe I'm just to lenient becuase I don't model and I've had something similar happen to me, where my schoolbag containing around 200USD's worth of school book and chemistry equipment got taken by a friend becuase we both use the same brand and there was only a minor difference between mine and his bag.

Ok, just for a moment, i'll humor you. If you 'accidentally' viewed that model, and thought it was one of your's/team's models, then ok i can understand... However that would require you to have extracted the models from the stolen/leaked dev file, now why in the hell would you be doing that if you didn't have an intent in using the model?

So Kid was greedy and wanted to try out 0.95. I had issue restraining myself, and I'm a very patient person. By taking the leaked beta, he gave in to temptation, which happens.

Therefore, the mixing of files was almost inevitable. By dragging in Hunter's work instead of his own, if they ahd a similar name, that is perfectly reasonable. I've messed up files because of similar names myself so I understand this entirely. From the sounds of it, the action was not deliberate, and from the looks of the rest of the tank, Kid and LDM have the talent enough that they wouldn't have stolen work on purpose. My verdict: Innocent.

@Kid: i did... my point still stands, why extract the files, when they are already in a BIG file?

Put them in a personal mod?
Look at them closely to gain knowledge?
Because the Big files didn't work out with a corrupted ZH directory?

From what I got out of it, after the screwup, you wanted to open up the models in W3D viewer with the skins attached, so you tossed em into one big folder of skins and models. Not sure exactly why, but it explains some of it.
