The whole thing or the demo, cause that's all I can find ;) .

Also I'm not all that willing to buy something over the Internet.

It's very cheap, and please move this to the Game Discussion. And if you learn to play it right, you can get a lot out of it. And nakamura is my friend in RL so I'll show him the forum around. Please apologize for him :P.

Kenny We have a no Warez policy, lets stick to it.

I did play it for a while but found myself happeir with an older game.

If you like this game then you should probably check out Sins of a Solar Empire.

If you have the game already than you should download the complex mod : www.homeworld2complex.com
It makes the gameplay more difficult but the game is more relistic and more enyojable with this mod.

The Homeworld series is very nice, but it's not a sit-down-and-win-in-half-an-hour gameplay. I'm waiting for Homeworld 3, to be honest. (Why would THQ buy Relic and ALL of its rights just to make Warhammer 40K games?)

I only have a few gripes about HW2, mostly about the features.
-no capital ship ramming (HW1)
-ship capturing became too retarded (capture frigates are priority 1 in target AI)
-no pilot cam (Cataclysm)
-squadrons over single fighters
-less formation choices and worse tactic choices (I liked defensive-neutral-aggressive better than hold fire-neutral-shoot everything that moves)

But overall it's a worth successor and a good game, too.

Maybe the same reason why EA bought Westwood and ran it into the ground?

Maybe but I don't remember THQ making big fails like EA. And yes, I play sins too and yes HW2 can be a half hour game.. Anyway, games shouldn't always be won in 15 mins...
And if any of you can play as nakamura can with HW2, you'll notice how exciting the game really is.

ive been playing Homeworld2 since the very beginning (2003) and to be honest i still play it. its a great game and even though it deserves a successor though there may not be one as the core team behind both games got disbanded when THQ acquired Relic.

if somehow they could all be brought back together to work on Homeworld3, that would be amazing. although i think THQ has a cash cow with the Dawn of war series. for a game thats been around since 2003 its very very popular. so many people are playing this game and Soul Storm is basically identical genetics to the first Dawn of War game. it shows how great that game was to have spawned so many great quality sequels.

the thing about Homeworld2 is that the space battles are of epic proportions. and the graphics still look great. i really enjoy playing the game and still find it challenging. and the new mod is really nice.

HW1 had better ships and tactic's choices. HW2 had a better atmosphere and feel.
Combine the two in HW3 and it would be win.

I heard that if you do that then you can't download the patch you need for the majority of the mods.

as a sidenote, HW1's online matchmaking service is still running. Perfect testament to the series and the dedication Relic's had to the series.

I have downloaded the full game and the patch two years ago. There are even no stability problems and all of the mods are working.

shame no one plays that mod online; I just heard an updated version of it came out. I found it pretty funny when the enemy ai destroyed my juggernaut and it destroyed half their fleet in the explosion lol.
