I love the effects on that sig.

One thing i would change is the border over the arm, it looks a bit weird as its a overlay.

A well deserved first place :P

Cheers mate - I'll get onto the avatar soon now that I've entered the two running comps at the moment. On that note, this is my entry for SOTW #67:
Posted Image
Render of swimmer (Michael Phelps if interested)
Render of Olympic Rings used to make my name.

Amazing sig btw!! Michael Phelps is beast!! Incredible athlete.

Why thankee Scopejim - always nice to hear that sort of thing - so here's a new one that i did because i was bored :P
Posted Image
Basically been trying me some new stuff, hence how everything under the render is 'homemade' and doesn't use any renders/C4Ds - just brushes textures etc....

That Gundam sig is Brilliant.
Really catches the attention. It's colourful and thhe colours contrast well.
And for you to have made that background yourself is awesome.
Brilliant work.

Huge sig is Huge!!

But very good. I'd have moved the text closer to the render, but this is all.

Awesomely huge sig was huge.... yeah well it was within the margins (just). And thanks for the praise Niddy and Wizard. Now onto the latest sig

This was one that I just threw together because I felt like having a new one....

And because this place is dead, here's one that I've spent a very long time on trying to get it all right:
Posted Image
Of this, the only thing that i didn't do is the render. As per usual, everything else is handmade. I especially like the way that the imagery to the left has come out, as it adds an extra dimension and looks kinda 3D, which is neat imo :D
I am considering removing the Ak-47..... i'm not sure about them...

Love the font and the AKs.

I don't like the fact Nicholas Cage is Giant compared to the rest of the sig, maybe make him a bit smaller.

Otherwise i really like it.

I love what you have done there, real good quality work, although you could make Nicholas Cage a little smaller, he is giant.

But overall, some very high quality work.
You almost did, didn't you?

AJ's newest sig rocks! I love Nick Cage and I don't think the sig is too big.

If I were to swallow my tongue, drop my jaw, or pass out any more, I think my parents would have me rushed to the hospital for fear I had something wrong with me. Great ZOG that's a magnificent signature. Posted Image Keep the AK's, they add to the art piece I feel. I especially love the fact that half of Nic Cage's bust is composed of bullets. Very appropriate.

Your comments have been great, thanks very much guys, it's a great thing to have you stand up and say that. As such, while I love that sig too, this is my entry for SOTW #70 on the theme of core. There's a lot of work gone into this one that can't be seen - 7 duplicates of the original image, 2 gradient maps and about 8 different light sources. Admitdely, I need to do something with the text on the left-hand side, and reinstate my border that seems to have gone missing.

Nice, but the BG seems a bit bland and I don't like the way the tank gets cut off on the right.

Well, i think it's fix'd nicely now:

Oh, and Warbz, can't do anything about that because of the render, which itself gets cut off there.

Alright AJ I've decided to ask you to make me a very interesting sig. I hope you can make me a sig related to various Calculus formulae such as Taylor series and possible graph of any function, I dunno be creative :D. For a background, I'd say lined paper look would be awesome. The avatar should be a similarly themed background with a capital Sigma (greek letter).

P.S Forgot to mention, the sig should have the words Calculus Nerd.

Secondly, I made this for myself as I needed to get rid of Raoul |8

Thanks Doc - it was just a placeholder but i enjoyed making the swish fiery effect - it was fun 8|

Well, I was listening to an interesting song called Adiemus today - quite phenomenal but probably not to most people's tastes here. Anyways, gave me the idea for this sig, it also uses my first clipping mask:
