B sometimes uses her officer's uniform over that red dress.

There are some good shots of the uniforms used by Hotel Moscow. Most of them seem to be based on Soviet/Russian BDUs but seem to be olive drab colored (maybe the artists didn't bother drawing camo).

It also identifies Revy's anti-materiel rifle from the first episode as a Gepard.

Love the series. Now I suddenly want to watch both of them again. :) Revy, Dutch, the Hotel Moscow bunch, love em'. (Although in all seriousness, Revy is incredibly stereotypical; I actually wish she wore more clothes, but whatevs)

The series itself is rather kick-ass, but is the manga worth my time?

The manga is pretty good too as long you find someone that picked good scanlators.

I rejoiced at the Japan arc where she was playing bodyguard for Rock, and was wearing CLOTHES.

I thought she was really hot in all of the episodes no matter what she was wearing. I wouldn't bother with the manga, I took a quick look in a bookstore and they did a really good job with the anime in terms of almost replicating the manga perfectly. Its not one those things were its like "omg read the manga its so much better they cuts things out in the anime" they really did do a smashing job.

Y'know, I started this series a while back and lost track of it after the one with the Nazi painting in the sunken submarine. It reminded me of my all time favorite Cowboy Bebop.

I just got my hands on the Black Lagoon Enlish dub. Man they did a pretty good job. I generally stick the the Jap audio, but wow, they got down most of the voices really well. That hardly ever happens, except for all the Miyazaki films taken care of by the Disney dub team.

Yes, I agree.

They also did the German Dub very well, and that doesn't happen often.

I have only seen a few episodes in English dub, I am curious to see what they did with the dubbing for the japan arch. It would be cool if revy kept speaking english and they actually used subbs for the real japanese parts.

When Revy spoke english in the Japanese dub, my ears bled, accompanied by a strong urge to gouge my eyes out even though it had nothing to do with the visuals.

I've not watched the anime with subtitles or in English, I had the luck to find it translated fully in Spanish, but I lol'd when Revy talked in English, kinda like the most people do here.
But I have fallen in love with the awesome soundtrack of the anime. *-*
