Summary

Return to Church is Half-Life 2: Deathmatch total conversion, which is about three side battle where humans fight for survival, vampires and werewolves fight each other for prey. Every race has unique abilities, weapons and appearances. The mod itself features "Last Team Standing" and "Team Deathmatch". In each gamemode and map, player must use tactics, dynamic environment and abilities to achieve victory.

Want to fight for survival ? Stake beasts to heart ? Or maybe you want drink weak human blood ? Or maybe you want to have vampire or human as a snack for a breakfast ? Do you want stalk, stake, sneak, run, shoot, eat, growl, drink, jump, hide, turn into bat ? Everything is possible in Return to Church.

Full description

Weapons:
As mentioned above, the mod features three different teams: Humans, vampires and werewolves.
Humans use guns, melee weapons and holy weapons like crucifix. Holy weapons hurt vampires deadly, while using them against werewolves is absolutely ineffective, but using silvers weapons will be effective. Guns, guns... we will not be having neither assault rifles like ak47,m4a1 nor weapons like rocket launch, machineguns, sniper rifles... We will have simple guns, like: Colt1911, Sawned-off, shotgun, some cheap/old automatic rifle, etc... What about vampire and werewolf weapons ? Will vampire be able to pick knife ? Will werewolves be able to pick up some heavy things and use them in battle ? The answer is: YES. Werewolves will be using mostly claws and they'll have some heavy weapons like "Morning Star"... Also they'll be able to pick up some heavy stuff from maps. (No, not a remake of gravity gun, but werewolf will be actually holding stuf in their hands.) Vampires will have some melee weapons too like a dagger.

Player Classes & Powers:
Each team will have 3 different playable characters. Each class will have different weapons and different powers making the class unique. Powers won't be god powers, but still those powers will be like life-saving when used on proper time. Powers will be like: invisible, invulnerable, turn into bat, etc...

Gametime and environment:
About 1999 years... No hi-tech things. Theme - Horror. Many maps will be dark and mysterious. Maps will be from forests, catacombs to city streets. Environment won't be static, player will be able to kill lights, turn on, off also there will be lots of movable, usable and destroyable objects. Also maps will contain places like: holy place, where humans can recharge health and are stronger or unholy place where vampires are more powerful, bloodbath, where vampires recharge health and well... um... heaven for werewolves... place where are lots of chunks of meat. Area where full moon can be clearly seen will power up werewolves too. Of course there will be more neutral areas...

Staking, Feeding & Respawning systems:
To kill one of those beasts, first you must hurt it badly ! When the beast is hurt badly, it falls unconscious on the floor, then you must run as fast as you can to the beast's body and draw your stake after that "Stake to kill". If you are too slow, the beast will get up and probably will kill you and you won't even notice when he finishes sucking all your's blood or just eating your body until only weapon on ground is left... Playing as a beast, simply you kill your prey and suck it's blood or eat it's flesh to restore health.

Gameplay:
You can go alone or you can stick with your mates. Also you can hide & sneak in darkness or you can rush on the enemy. It depends on your style of gaming. Use the dynamic environment advantages to ensure victory. Each team and each class will be different gameplay experience.

:shakehead:
