Not that I am aware of. To give a very vague hint though, this artist does sometimes sample soundtracks in creating his music.

Ah, I found what it reminded me of, btw:

Not the same song but uncannily close. The second part of the posted theme actually sounds like ANOTHER James Bond thing, too.

Yarp, had a few afk days so apologies for the late reply.

The music is house music from early 2000, released on Rulin Records (very few artists released on this specific label so this makes it a fair bit easier). The person behind it is well known for sampling a track originally by Thomas Newman and using that to create a track that charted at 3 in the UK charts at the time. He has also collaborated with Seal on another song which also charted highly in the UK. The artist goes by a variety of pseudonyms, and has only released one album under the pseudonym he used for this album.

I suspect it's "American Dream" by DJ Dave Lee aka Jakatta then, even though the song sounds nothing like it.

Now we just have to wait another 10 days for AJ to confirm whether you're right or wrong.

Yes, the track was overdue anyway so I'll guess I'll just post the next one already.

You have the artist correct mate, however it's not American Dream - it was in fact The Other World

[/quote]Ah, ok then, I just cross-referenced a bit and then checked out Jakatta's wiki page and the only track that hit #3 in the UK on that was American Dream, hence why I assumed it was that.

Anyway, no takers for the song yet, I see?

It's a bit tricky but was attached to a very popular movie from last year so it may get a few people knowing what it is 8|

A hint, then; it's from a very well-known British DJ from somewhere in London. It is a remix of a track by The Mighty Dub Katz by the same name.

I'm guessing it's Fatboy Slim/Norman Cook. I think the song is Magic Carpet Ride, but I'm not certain.

Btw, for the record, mine was Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap, from 500 Days of Summer (worth a watch because it's funny, but you may well all think it's also too soppy):
