Yes folks, I'm going on a holiday again, this time first back home for 9 days and then another 10 on a road trip through the fjords of Norway. I'm been looking forward to this quite a lot, since as most of you know from my incessant blabbering, Norway is the country of my ancient forefathers :D .

I'll be leaving Tuesday morning and will be back August 11th - I'll have internet during the first part of the holiday.

Oh we'll be hiking shitloads across the fjords, and I imagine we'll do some mountainbiking as well.

No idea how you afford all this shit on your (apparently) awful PhD wage.

Have fun nonetheless. 8|

Good luck, have fun.

Sounds like a really interesting place. It's always nice to go adventuring into your past as well.

I get £3.20 an hour. It helps that I don't eat; this saves a significant amount of money :P . Other than a constant influx of milk and beer I don't really need any sustenance.

Thanks, with a bit of luck, I might even be able to see the island Ran if I squint :xD: .

My family don't come from there, me and the island just share the same name, which is of some ancient Viking sea goddess who killed everyone she saw or something.

Bwahaha, dat DACHT je maar! |8

I guess the best term is "along" but we'll be hiking and biking quite a lot as well. Basically we're taking the longest possible route between Trondheim and Bergen :xD: .

Right, later today I'm flying to Norway, and as we're going to be camping in the wild all the time, I won't have any internet until I get back. See you guys on the 12th!

Sorry it took a while. I have well over 200 photos after all the pruning which I posted on Facebook, but for the purposes of this thread I'll post only a few. If you like them, the rest are just as much worth the effort though.

Which is also high on my to-visit list, just a shame it's on the diametric opposite end of the world :xD: . I have several hundred more shots like this because basically everything you see is as pretty as this.

The fjords are unlike anything I've seen before, but I suspect the openness of the landscape and the valleys would be quite NZ-ish, yeah.

Excellent landscape. You need to buy a Digital SLR camera if you are going to be travelling around so much 8|
