The Dozer was made by Abourror and i told him to fix it. Right now hes working on adjusting the poly count. I was wondering, what is the max poly count for Generals Anyway, for units and structures?

I think it is about 300-750 for vehicles (before it lags) and around 1000-1500 for buildings before it lags.
And >150 for infantry

i just got to reading that pm you sent me abourror ( sorry i didnt respond sooner i didnt realize you pm me until now) and it would seem that you got quite the team coming together already.
im glad to see that you like my work and all but seeing how ive had some bad exp with new mods (mostly how much they are too unorganized) maybe you can tell me alittle bit more about your mod and the organization of it (like who does the models now and some more pictures of them and what does the mod leader do besides lead)

hope you can get back to me on this soon so i can choose if i want to join or not because i dont want to join a wannabe shockwave mod. (which it doesnt look like it will be but need to see for myself anyways)

OK, I know you might be wondering, what is the organization of this mod like and what I am doing as a leader. Well to answer your questions, besides me leading, I am a mapper, modeler, soon to be infantry modeler, coder with TibEd and notepad soon, and whatever I wish to do. What I am looking for is a large number of modelers so that each one can work on a specific feature, such as a modeler for tanks, one for infantry, structures, etc. coders, Particle Fx, Sound Techs, and etc. you know the rest of the jobs that are out there for modeling. The reason for a large number of modelers is so that things can progress much quicker and so that those who are better in one field than the others can stick to what they do best. We also have each of the modelers not only working on a specific feature, but we also have that modeler working on a specific team. We allow up to 3 modelers to work on one team, so that the infantry, buildings, and tanks are dealt with. I'm gonna open a new modeler postion for those who are really good in modeling weapons. Weapons Modeler will work on, of course, the weapons for all of the teams such as guns, missiles, grenades, etc. Now if you need help on what the stories about, then contact me here or email me at commi9000@hotmail.com or IM me. Well, its not the whole story though. What i wanted to do is just give a small breif description on whats going to happen, then reveal the rest on the missions. I dont want to reveal the whole thing because then the mods gonna be a dud when it comes to the missions. You can help with the story if you want but theres already someone whos doing that also. He plans on emailing me his version soon, so maybe if u can send me your version, we can have a vote on which 3 should be the way things should be. Hows that sound to you. Everyone, send in your versions on how the story should be and we can have a vote on which story to choose. Thanks

Well, for those wondering y i chose libya as a communist side, i did a little research and heres what i found out.


Government type:
Jamahiriya (a state of the masses) in theory, governed by the populace through local councils; in fact, a military dictatorship

The system is a combination of socialism and Islam derived in part from tribal practices and is supposed to be implemented by the Libyan people themselves in a unique form of "direct democracy."

So, since there a dictatorship, im making them communist. :D

there are some smoothing issues. other then that the models are pretty cool.

The poly count is pretty low so you can get away with add more details.
Also the guns look like pea shooters. you should increase the size of the barrel and take some creative liberties to really pimp up the models.

i think it could just use a better skin instead of adding more detail.
more detail means more memory and that my friends= lag.
so i say go with a more detailed skin

More resolution also = lag my friends

and now a days, the generals models are really low quality, so I say detail the models

Hellfurt- Your models are great and i'm glad that Abourror approved you onto the team before I did. Thank you for your hard work, if it was hard that is, lol. Well anyway, ppl please dont mind the "Long" list for that if you read the print after it, it says that not all these units will be in the mod. All I was doing was letting you know that I was putting in an effort into thinking which units to have in and what not to have. This is just the beginning my friends, we have a long way to go before we can release any beta's. What I am doing right now is trying to find some new music to fit the new armys, including the Chinese. Please keep on leaving comments for that they help me in thinking on what i need to do to improve.
