Some oldschool C&C love

What about a Nostalgia Cannon?
It could shoot anything from Obelisks of Lights to Harkonnen Devastators!
You could even let it shoot MCV's!

Maybe that projectiles can have the code that Technicals use to have random art...
I do like the idea

It would have to be for the overrated general
I could imagine this idea in the mod, it fits nicely with the other units.

It also should have random unit sounds from all the old C&C games, regardless of faction and purpose.
One time it talks like a Soviet Mammoth tank, the next time it talks like the Ghost Stalker, after that a Nod light soldier...

Yea I can say for sure that random projectiles are doable. It is normally used to make it so that the weapon has a random chance of not tracking its target.
So the idea sounds, crazy enough.

all should do just as much damage, so it would be looking weird when an unpacked MCV is flying to ur head and it does just as much damage as that conscript u just got in ur face

Errm...Harkonnen Devastators are from Dune. Yes, Westwood made that game, but Dune is on a different time line than the C&C universe.

I don't even know what a devastator is.
A nostalgia cannon would be fun, but maybe instead of just that, we could also have units based off of old units, but made crazier if necessary. Like maybe an Arnold Frankenfurter from RA2 for the USA Overrated General, as a Col. Burton replacement. I actually still have the voices from it too.

Devastator was a unit in the last Westwood-branded game: Emperor Battle for Dune. It was essentially C&C in a Dune universe, and was an epic game. The unit was the most powerful one in the game, could damage all units a lot, and could also self destruct in a massive explosion. It's voices have already been used before however, in ShW's Devastator unit for the Nuke Gen.
The Dune universe is in NO WAY related to C&C and never will be. The gameplay mechanic of C&C was rehashed for Dune, but that's about it. That said, it worked just as well, if not a tiny bit better, imo.

The Devastator was also the first double-barreled tank in the whole Westwood history: in Dune 2 it was the Harkonnen heavy unit

Nope. The Siege Tank shows up earlier on in the game, so technically it's the first double-barrel.
