Now that i have my results i can show you some of the work i did, i'm only gonna show you my computer work, because i'm too lazy to take pictures of the paintings i did...

I won't release everything at once... that way i can get more praise

First off just a little study on expressing emotions. I started off with a blank face (quickly sketched and inked on Photoshop) The whole process only took 10-15 minutes... then on top of this blank face, i added various emotions, some are similar, just minor differences. Didn't see it all, but from what I saw, the first person, looks strangely a lot like my ex O_o

Hopefully some day we'll see Bob's name in the credits of some great Anime. =D

Seriously, A good job. Wonder if you can get into Japanese Animation or Some big Anime Company with that. Sure you probably could become an animator.

Thank you people... although i think some of you are exaggerating a bit... they aren't that good

P.S. This background was made by me... but as you can see it was just a 10 second jobby ;D


Edit: Also the next one wont be so flat-chested (The body on this one was an after thought, i was mainly concentrating on the emotions/animation)

Does it really matter if the girl has a chest or not? I don't see it being a factor in how well the character is drawn. Sure, it may make it more appealing to most of the male population, but I'd say the character you have now is pretty good. Personally, if she's funny, smart, kind, caring, and has a good attitude towards life, I'd say she's a winner .

Keep sketching mate, you're doing well.

bah, forgot to show the rest of my project, so here's the next one. This was a study of colours a textures (the carpet texture). Took me longer to actually get that texture than it did to render the anime . Anyway with no further delay, here is another slideshow:

The color of her hair and the color of her dress (or whatever she's wearing) match well. I do like when she has green hair, how the sash/belt she's wearing is a contrasting color. You've done well Bob, very well .

So yeah.. yet again i forgot to update, here are a few paintings/sketches from my sketchbook (sorry for bluriness i can draw.. but taking photos is another thing =p ...)

first up, a Dragonball Z sketch (which you may noticed i didn't actually finish, due to sheer laziness ^^; )


Next a quick painting i did of a scene from Dragonball GT (NOTE: the edges are supposed to be faded/incomplete or however you want to describe it to represent a cell)


Next, Shinobu from Love hina... this image was part of a study on emotions (the perspective of this photo was horrible, and i was too lazy to re-take, so i corrected it in photoshop as best i could, but alas some of the preportions are a little screwed)


Next, a scene from Outlaw Star.. which was part of a study on colour. (for some bizarre reason the pic has gone all glowy :s )


This is part of the best piece in my whole project... even though its not really anime, just a photo-realistic representation of one (NOTE: too lazy to find the original pic, so i just took a photo of the printout . NOTE2: i will however upload an animated version of this shortly )


And finally my final piece.. (although not really my best)



A final note, alot of my work, although fully made/drawn by me, some have been heavily influenced by compositions of scenes, of which i don't take credit. The exception to this rule is the dragonball pic, of which i created entirely on my own

Oooooo Aaaaahhh.

I see big noses in that last one. Like bigger than this one girl in my English class, and she has a gigantic nose.

I think we might have to watch out for Bob in the future. He may just give us an anime character/series to watch out for .
