Teukka's Photo Teukka 12 Jun 2007

Totally re-textured version, also replaced the bridges more broder ones and edited the waypoints and added some vegetation

Had a so interesting map idea that I worked it up right away,
So here's my (experimental) second map: Barren Star

5 players FFA map

- 2 supply docks, oil derrick and reinforcement pad for each player
- oil refinery in the center hill
- four trains going around the tracks in the middle (tank-killers)
- 10 supply trucks circling the outer road (splatter unlucky infantry + can be used to make car bombs)

(NOTE: not fully tested, so inform me of any errors)

Really like your maps so far and I think you have some original ideas, only thing is that you have to put in some more different textures and you're there. :dope:

Like the others said, a well made Map.
Just needs some textrue polishing, but apart from that its neat.

Thank you all. Seems that texturing isn't my strongest part, (could be cause I used to make lot's of infantry maps before, when i was still playing VZH online and i had cut out of the eye candy to make them less laggy.)
This map actually has two sand in bases textures but it's pretty hard to see in that pic and the cliff texture might be a bit boring too... I'll see if i'll make a better version some time, this was a bit hasty creation in any case. Just wanted to test the railroads and stuff.

Maybe i'll make snow map next time... or actually i had idea for one 6 players map but i just messed up something and had to scrap it

Just a tip: if you want the hills to be less boring put a different texture on the top or at the base of the hills to accentuate those parts of the hill/mountain :dope: .

I'll propably try something like that. Actually in my first map i had put some rocky-grass textures in someplaces beneath the cliffs, just couldn't find anything similiar in desert textures

Your re-textured version looks way better, not perfect (no offence), but it still is a huge impovement.
Don't worry 'bout it though, cuz like Kenny, I 2 would like to see you become a member of the guild, but I'll leave that up to the guild leaders :P

Barren Star looks kick@$$. I open this thread and find a gorgeous map staring back at me. The center on this kind of map is key, and from the looks of it, the center of the map is a wonderful thing to look at. Great job mate :loels: .

My best,

Nuker
