Shockwavemod RL equivalents (WITH PICS AND...
Razven 05 Jul 2007
I'm trying to build a complete list of what goes in Shockwavemod's real world equivalent or at least where it came from. Not stating the obvious (like the Comanche and Humvees). So far, I've gone through the tanks from Tank Gen. and now updating the combat drones list. I decided to move this from the other thread because well, it would be better suited as its own topic. If it's not, feel free to lock/move/whatever that must be done.

That's not really "real-life equivalent", that's more like "what it could be". Then you could say "Toxin Tractor is a John Deere type K3 tractor with a lawn sprinkler on top" or things like that. I think that this thread is meant more to find real, one-on-one equivalents.
Strategia 05 Jul 2007
Posting real-life units that are actually the same (or similar enough) to Shockwave units?
Sure, the P-1000 may not look much like the Overlord, but it is a massive two-barrelled tank and was actually designed and construction of a prototype was underway. Four Type 98s with a naval turret, not so much.

I don't really mind, it's supposed to be a discussion.
Recon Drone, not the Big Gen Skill one (a.k.a Global Hawk) I was thinking the vechile one. Too big to be a Global Hawk, Predator, Warrior and although the shape is. Closest I could think of it the Desert Hawk.
http://en.wikipedia....eillance_System
If I get 3 out of 5 votes for Yes, then I will start referrring to it as the RQ-4A Desert Reaper
Name derived from the RQ-4 DESERT hawk -size
and the MQ-9 REAPER - shape

If it's 45 mph wouldn't the Abrams be faster with it's 60? Or do you mean record of that time?
Kyouko 07 Jul 2007
Crap sorry. Wrong record.

So it's one of the heaviest. It doesn't look really heavy though compared to some modern ones.
Kyouko 07 Jul 2007
Looks can be decieving. It is just one of the most heavly armed, the Maus takes the prize for heaviest.

Officially ended the BM series.
The findings are results of me playing Shockwavemod over 10 times within 6 hours, each time looking up small details:
The Nuke and Norm. China BM has 5 road wheels, Kwai's has 6.
The Troopcrawler depicted in Zero Hour is not in use with the PLA as of 24, July, 2007.
1) China barely has any 8x8 APCs.
2) Those that are 8x8 are currently prototypes.
Until it is from a official source and receives a official designation. There will be no Troopcrawlers.
Interesting thing about Fai's troopcrawlers:
There are 8 firing ports, there is 1 nearest to the front left of the transport.
There there are 3 on the bottom left.
3 On the right firing ports, opposite of the 3.
The last one is the one at the back.
Redguard's will always be "seated first" in the order I described above, no matter who goes in first, be you put Red Guards first or Tank Hunters fist.
V. Troopcralwers have little slits for driving windows, Fai's one are more open.
Fai's also have a different look aside from windows, fireports and a ugly looking speaker on top. The only thing that seems to be the same is the top "Grill" part, the rolled up canvas, the wheels and some of the smaller details.
Fai also has a H shaped part on the top, the horizontal bar being slight towards the front of the Troopercralwer, where the speaker is.
Fai Crawler also has a extra "<" when compared to the normal crawler's slopped armour, which resembles a "\", it is als visible at the back.
