[3 Players] Blizzard_Paths

Ðåñž Q's Photo Ðåñž Q 10 Nov 2007

Does anyone remember the Map of the Week competition? It failed.
Because I put much effort into my participation map, I am going to post the improved version* here now. :D

*this improved version features:
-better looking snow
-another map time, with nice effects
-AI now does build defenses at the center too

Overview:

This map supporting 3 players is set in and around a quite snowy village in the mountains, which is isolated because of the storms.
We have a nice dark evening and snowy environment. The map time is not night, but it has the light options of night, so it looks more realistic when some houses use light and others not.
1 player starts on a flooded frozen lake, 1player on a field with clean road and the last player on a field with a street covered with snow.
There are always 5 ways to one player, the flanks are wide and have a wood tower, the backdoor paths are quite narrow and long, and the center attack way offers a good defense front.

Players:
3, FFA, though 2v1 is possible, too
Tech buildings:
6 Oil derricks (2 per station, which is always between 2 players)
Supplies:
3x2,5k$ supply piles + 2x100$ crates per station
1x30k$ + 5x2,5k$ in each base
3x10k$ in the center
AI works
(omg I did not know hard general Alexander AI builds so many particle cannons without superweapon limit :D
It was a nice show when one after the other went up...)

Laser general blowed my units out of my station D=.
It's a nice cold look with all the winter trees, snow flakes and darkness isn't it? Well ok I think I shouldn't judge my own map XD.

I like it how you have moved away from using the standard roads and have made
custom roads.

Its one of the maps I’m ganna keep.

Good job.

Looks nice, my only suggestion is making it a bit lighter, hard to see really even if its trying to be a night map. Just imo tho, great job! :pnd:
