Simple question about unicode
Foxhound 05 Feb 2008
Is it possible to get unicode to work in things it's not normally used in? (IE, the Windows XP desktop icon labels)

Probably not. The application has to be written to use Unicode, or it won't work.

If you're having trouble getting unicode characters to display in Windows and/or any Microsoft application, you don't have the necessary language files properly installed. Websites are a little more complicated, you have to choose the correct encoding, which doesn't always work automatically.
