Ahem. Nod has been killing innocent civilians from Day 1. They are a shady, supposedly ancient organisation with more hidden agendas than you can shake a Tiberium field at. They have shown a complete disregard for human life, and have behaved like fanatic terrorists recruiting people with lies and falsehoods and sending innocent people to re-education camps to be brainwashed. GDI is out to save Mankind from the threats of Tiberium and its Scrin creators, while Nod doesn't care how many lives are lost so long as their end goal is complete, which is turning this planet into a Tiberium-covered wasteland. It was Nod who called the Scrin to Earth, and it was Nod who have used nuclear weapons for decades, causing tremendous collateral damage and poisoning areas with radiation that will last for tens or even hundreds of thousands of years after the Tiberium threat has been eliminated. GDI on the other hand uses the Ion Cannon, a clean, efficient precision weapon that has not been found wanting and has no residual effects on the area it targets. The Ion Cannon allows GDI to destroy Nod positions in the streets of big, crowded cities, while Nod's nukes just reduce the entire city to a smoking crater.

Join the GDI, and fight the good fight. Fight not for some insane megalomaniac, or for a twisted ideal, but fight for survival, not just yours but that of all Mankind.

Why must prosperity and vision be combatted by imperialism and confinement? We have the answer and GDI turns us away! They murdered millions with a Liquid Tiberium detonation when they used their beloved ion cannon to destroy a sacred place of worship! Temple prime lies in ruins and countless lie dead because of a side effect that GDI knew was inevitable! They killed those people to make a point!
