Ah much better! Now I see. I would still love to see an animation though.
Encrypted 10 Dec 2008
Im afraid Im not that good at animation, I Could always give it a try later though.

hmmm looks a bit strange... (sadly, in the negative way)
i'd work some more on the balance aspect, this guy looks as if he could topple any moment.

I have not updated this thread in quite some time. Here is a model I have made recently.

I'm not sure as to where you may have seen them before, The design of the legs just developed as I made the rest of the model. Thank you for your complement .
Star Dragon 06 Jun 2009
Wow I totally missed that. I thought your "walker" initially was a LP version of the new tripod artillery! (DOH!)
As for the leg articulation, it wouldn't be inspired by Freedom or Prawn here would it? (evil grin)...
Very slick, and scary as it looks a little heavy?

Thats cool
I really like the way the legs and the guns look, they work really compliment each other. What about calling it "The Scratcher"?

That's a great model mate - glad to see that you're still churning out great, high quality work!

Here is an update to the Stumbler Mech that I had made previously; And it is intentionally meant to look as if it might topple .

Stange to think that years have passed since i'd posted anything in here last. Over the last day or so I'v given texturing another shot . I think its better than some of my previous attempts although still a little rough round the edges .

Been working on another model and texture .
I wouldnt mind hearing some feedback or some kind of constructive criticism .

Nice, I really like the front, it captures a futuristic armour plated look (also, the wheels and the wheel 'arches' are nice).
However the top feels a bit flat in comparison to the front, is a different shade of gray and the text of Apex looks a bit off. I think the text looks off because why would anyone actually put text there? Its quite hard to read and is under a barrel
Otherwise it's a nice model, good work!

Thanks for the feedback . Your right about the different shade of grey, I will have to make the texture transition better between the different shades. The text would have been more suited to being on the side, however, was made after the side texture had been created .

USA Supply Truck, meant to look as if it could take a few hits. A single flat tire should be much of a problem .
Stalker 23 Oct 2011
Looks good, I like your skins, although the supply-load in the back of the truck could use some more details Imho
TheDR 23 Oct 2011
Nice, I really like the design overall, it does look like it can take a few hits... apart from the cargo area
If the truck is meant to look like it can take a few hits, it would only make sense to have some sort of protective grid or net over the cargo. Otherwise its really nice, good work!

Looks a bit like a wheeled Sand Crawler. Appears a great deal tougher than those weedy supply trucks, even if the health and armour stats are similar.

Thanks . I will have to make something better for the cargo texture. At the moment I'm using the texture created by EA for their supply truck's cargo .

You're right about the cargo being a little less protected, I tried to leave it open much like on the Chinese supply truck so that it is easy to tell if it has supplies loaded or not .

Thanks, although I'm not sure I see the similarity so much .
