Chance of an asteroid heading towards Earth are.....well you cant even make a hypotetical scenario. Does a nuke help more then religion?

It isn't a question of IF but of WHEN an asteroid hits earth, but that's another topic.

And so far, nukes are preventing another world war, ain't they? If it wouldn't be for the nukes, there would probably be a lot of war arround the globe.

Yep, science helps prevent warfare, and make warfare, and do lots of other things.

An so...? I see no relevance to the topic!

No.

If religion were to be obliterated, would the world be better/worse of? How would it fare? Why would it be obliterated? Why would the world be better off?

Better. You wouldn't have idiots killing each other in defence of their imaginary friends.

Should religion be pushed aside and made MUCH less important (put behind science and other things)?

It's importance is only a matter of personal opinion. Though I d believe it should receive no more government support than a charity does.

Should religion just modernize and live on?

What?

To evolve as a society, do we need to have religion?

No, it needs to be banished for civilisation to advanced, religion is on of the biggest hindrances.

Amor, one member has been warned for an intolerant attitude today, don't be the second. This is a verbal warning.

As this topic is causing so many flare ups, I'm locking it.
