Server Migration

Libains's Photo Libains 01 Feb 2009

I assume from the recent downtime that the wiki had, combined with the fact that all of the image links have been fixed, that some work has gone on behind the scenes on it. Thanks very much jnengland, it's working rather well now, from what I have seen 8|

I broke the frontpage. I'll fix it sometime tomorrow. I know what's wrong (php and SQLite stuff).
Just don't have time tonight.

Its going to be replaced, Wiz just needs to be able to make up the CSS tables to make it look right.

Um is this error related to the transfering part?

Everytime I check the post counts on ANY thread especially LPTPW thread I get this error.

^Same here, only it doesn't happen that much.

I have noticed this too. I think that we need to spend some time getting everything 100%, if it is currently at 100% then some further investment to improve the server might be in order.

We're looking into it. The machine has been hiitting the disk (swapping/paging), which is cauing some problems.

Well until we get more ram in the server at the end of the month we'll have to deal with the errors. But I'm trying something to alleviate the problems.

Please report any more of these.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I keep getting periods in which I get only 500's and 503's from FS which take between one and thirty minutes to pass. Other sites still work so it's not something on my end.

Same here - some of them are quite persistent.

I haven't been getting server errors, only database errors.

Well that setup didn't work how I wanted it to. Oh well thanks for testing. Feel free to continue reporting errors. I've switched it back to how it was or a very similar setup.

I just got the following error message:
"IPS Driver Error

There appears to be an error with the database.
You can try to refresh the page by clicking here
IPS Driver Error

and FS has been loading quite badly since a couple of days. Not sure if it's on my end or not, but other pages are loading just fine, over here.

Its our Server, CNCNZ had some issues but it should be sorted, don't know what the last issue was. We haven't got that extra gig of RAM in yet afaik.

We have finally had the much awaited RAM upgrade and now have the 3GB that was present in Fawkes. Service should be much better from now on. If you're having persistent trouble then tell us so we can help you.
