I like this a lot, its always good to see members showing off their artwork. Also you've made me want to play RA2 again now.

Thanks
Glad you all like my RA2 artworks.
The time I'm using 3dsmax. Here's my first 3d scene art (for my assignment):
First time modelling a tank. done in 5 minutes and I'm serious.

My first infantry model.
At the first time, I want to use this in one of my mod, but I have come with another concept and this is not used anymore.

Limbs feel like lego blocks, but otherwise the proportions are well done. Looks like a believable infantry.

Okay, another 3d model I made:
And my first try on skinning.

Not a bad attempt, but it still seems a bit bland.
Try adding more texture to it, and some more details.

To be honest it's a good start. The tread covers are quite well done. You've got a good base texture there to go and add more detail to it. You just need to find some inspiration for extras to put in. The main chasis and turret need the most work. Perhaps make the front or the "plough" dirty at the bottom as it's most likely to come into contact with the ground.

splatter burning would add a lot of texture and more feel.
The front of that plow could use a lot of dirt and scratches particularly at the bottom.
The logo could look more faded and scratched too.
Also a few screws n bolts would make it look more like machinery.

I can't believe I missed these papercrafts. These are most impressive. How did you make these (besides printing them out on paper)? Did you grab the skins from Generals and use a program to organize them in such a way that would let you fold them?
You skinning isn't that bad for a first attempt. As was pointed out, the tread and tread covers are quite well done. The rest of the tank is a bit bland, mostly from the lack of detail. That however can be remedied and once you have fixed that part of it, your skin and the unit will look much better.

Thanks for the skinning suggestions/tips guys. that was my first skin, so I'm not that good at it.
I got those models template on http://candcpapercraft.blogspot.com
there are plenty units there. they even also have ShockWave's MLRS papercraft!
Actually I'm also trying to make my own papercraft. Now I'm making crusader and rocket buggy for the start.
I import the W3D file into 3dsmax, and do some changes (so there's no parts that cross the other parts or prevent any floating parts) so they can be folded and sticked together.
Then Export it to 3DS format and use Pepakura Designer to unfold the models and printed.

I'm really stressed that day, then I whacked it with my harry potter wizard staff replica
actually I have two mammoth mk3 papercraft, one with it's railgun upgrade and one is unupgraded version.
so it's doesn't really matter

The Drone MCV is most definitely and easily the stand-out of the group. I rather like the design of it. The dual gattling tank is nice, but the chassis could use some attention outside of the addition of another gattling gun.

Haha, if it had both weapons it'll be quite powerful. Looking very nice though, I presume you had moments of frustration or you just spent hours making it happily...?
