Mars
Sgt. Rho 16 Jun 2009
I'm planning to add at least 1 or 2 missions that play on Mars to GDI and Nod.
And I'm in need for ideas for such missions, what should happen, etc.
If you have any ideas, post them here or PM them to me.
PS: Mappers are allways wellcome <.<

Mars as in... the planet mars? I wasn't aware that GDI or NOD had any dealings there.

Yes, Mars as in the 4th planet going from the sun
Nod isn't there ,it will be about investigating Scrin activities there.

There should be missions in both Marine Valley and Utopia Planitia, and quite possibly Olympia Mons. Orbital strikes should charge more often in these maps, while the infantries should be inside EV suits, but not the laser rocketeers in YR.
Sgt. Rho 18 Jun 2009
The two missions will take place in Vallis Marinaris and the Marsian south pole.

Tesla trooper? You realise, this is CnC3, not RA3
But I planned to give GDI a set of special infantry for Mars.

Can Zone Trooper and possibly Zone Raider the main GDI infantries?
Just joking. But if there is going to be infantry, it should look somewhat like a Zone Trooper, at least.

Um, if u think about some Mars missions, the 2 factions must get there first ... So they need some advanced Airforces ... i think.
GDI something like a Destroyer Ship (like TaurY in Stargate) a Kodiac II
Nod advanced Banshee technologies (for Example)
Greetz Rib

GDI is space faring since quite a bit before the second tiberian war, I'd say since 2020...They have ships that can travel to Mars. Shuttles even.
Destiny 22 Jun 2009
Well...by the 2030s they had the Kodiak, Drop Pods, Dropships, Shuttles, the Philadelphia itself, the entire Ion Cannon network. Contrary to Nod which had totally no space-capable assets.
BeefJeRKy 23 Jun 2009
Sounds like a great concept but will there be Tiberium on Mars? Or will it be like the moon mission in YR? Start with a shitload of cash and no other way of making money?
Either way, I hope you will be able to texture the planet well

Sgt. Rho 23 Jun 2009
No, there won't be Tiberium. But there are several supply depots at the base that constantly give money.

Hm, this reminds about something an ex WW dev said:

I've not really answered because the story went through multiple iterations and versions as we changed the playable factions and the key game systems. I'm trying to get it straight in my head again before further complicating things by saying something that wasn't the way we planned it.
We had also developed two completely different origins for the Tacitus, and since both stories leveraged that origin, I'm trying to remember what each included. One was centered around the Tacitus being a soul-prison for the leader of the martian force that fought against the Scrin (they knew how to beat the Scrin, but discovered it too late) while the Earth was still primordial, and the other was centered around the Scrin rebels stealing the "bible" of the Scrin -- which may or may not have been written by them in the first place -- and the Scrin Primal's crusade to recover it.
Both were interesting and had some cool reveals.
So no promises on a ton of detail. Much of it is pretty jumbled in my head at this point.
