Stalker's Zero Hour Models

Stalker's Photo Stalker 18 Jul 2009

I decided to show off some of my models:

Most of these are going to be in my Mod, but if you want them, just post here. These are not always my best work and not all of my models. I am going to update this thread depending on your replys and the time I have at the moment.

All of these Models are for ZH, either completely scratch-made by me or partly butchered from EA's models. While Unwrapped my be, the skins are mostly from EA, partly done by me or from public resources. I will give credit in that case ofcourse.

My old Models:

Wow, not bad, especially when considering those are EA skins.

I wonder if the Gattnuke Cannon'll spew out nuclear rounds ;)

Hmm, tasty models.

Keep it up! ;)

That Annihilator should have guns on the sides to be like the land raider, but it's a pretty good interpretation none-the-less.

Some pretty cool stuff you got there!
Especially the nuke gattling looks badass.

That Shadow tank is a very cool looking tank, though that tread style looks very familiar. I think it might look a little better if you make the missile tips housecolor as well.

I remember making a Warhammer 40K tank of my own back when the Domination mod was around, based off of the Hydra. The overkill style has always been one of my favorites.

The slingshot could use a bit more work, but the gattling cannons look very good, especially when compared to the old ones from EA.

The heavy artillery looks very unique, though I think too much tread may be exposed. I like the way you made the cannon though, with the arms on the underside to lift up the gun.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your comments.

The Annihilator Tank is based off this.
I didn't add the extra cannons because it shouldn't be a Supertank in my Mod and side cannons aren't really codeable.

The slingshot is one of my older models.

The Shadow tank is now up for download, as requested.

And I wil probably do requests if it's something with a clear concept or description and I could use in my own mod aswell. And of course if I have time.

Cool stuff, seems to all stick to the general style of Generals. Did you add any new skins btw?

The Shadow-tank uses a custom texture on the sides of the treads, but it's mostly CnP

How can I turn off that ugly smoothing on the extruded parts ?

Wohoow... I love it :3
Poly count?

Pav:3d's Photo Pav:3d 25 Jul 2009

You could try just using the smooth modifier and messing around in that

Wow, nice artillery unit there. I've never seen a half track-type vehicle before with wheels both in front and behind the treads.

What program are you using by the way? If you need a higher quality render, you can send me the model, and I'll set it up for you. I've also heard of a render suite for gmax, but never actually used it.

Doesn't really work. Is there a way to completely turn off smoothing?

I made most parts of this model with gmax at work, finished it at home with 3ds8

EDIT: Smoothing works just fine when I add lighting! <Render Updated>

That napalm artillery is awesome, way cooler than the Inferno Cannon.

The Eclipse could use something to break up the solid black areas. Try adding plates, insignia, numbers, and other details to it to complete the skin a bit more.

I don't agree with you there Jordan, I just think that with a bit more shade difference that would be awesome.

I am more of a fan of smooth, elegant and slick models and skins myself, even if I don't model, or skin.

Congrats on your first skin, its looking really good for a first scratch made

Although it needs lots of details like: screws, vents, just more lines overall, logos, numbers, maybe some sort of art work (like nose art kind of stuff). Plus the cockpit needs an outline.

Its looking promising, you should def work on it imo
