Render: GLA Really Explosive Artillery

GLA Really Explosive Artillery
At first glance, the unassuming Really Explosive Artillery seems to be nothing more than a Convoy Truck with a very explosive tanker trailer on the back. But GLA already has a Bomb Truck, so this probably isn't just a suicide unit.
These salvaged 18-wheelers are a bit slow and clumsy, take a while to corner, and aren't very heavily armored. Shown on the left at full salvage, and on the right as purchased from an Arms Dealer.
However, when these massive trucks deploy...
...they reveal massive artillery cannons hidden inside the tanker trailers. These devastating artillery pieces, purchased off of the Black Market, lob heavy high-explosive shells over extreme distances. They cost $1200, and require a Palace to be built, as well as one Generals' point. Also, they tend to explode very violently when destroyed. No wonder they have the words "Really Explosive" painted on the side.
Anyways, because this is an explosive unit, it should be given to the Demo General. But the Demo General already had the Hover SCUD Launcher. So, by giving the Stealth General the Hover SCUD Launcher, this can then be given to the Demo General. The Hover SCUD Launcher will replace the Stealth General's SCUD Launcher, and the SPUD Launcher will replace the Stealth General's rocket buggy to make room.

I knew that "Really Explosive" truck's appearance was inevitable. This looks amazing!

Well done Jordan. Out of pure curiosity, does the "Really Explosive" artillery use Hammer Cannon logic when it fires the shell?
Jordan 17 Aug 2009
Now updated with a new barrel. Now it is even taller than before, and I think about as tall as a Hammer Cannon.

why is the fully salvaged one so thin D: the turret thickness should be swapped D: or does it just look like that
pirate 17 Aug 2009
great work Jordan , does this mean that you scrap the alpha civilian units btw?

ow ok , but they are not going to be a faction anymore like in the first screenshots , then I guess?
Jordan 18 Aug 2009
I never actually made a faction. It was just a bunch of random units. Maybe I could make civillians attack you in skirmish and campaigns though.
