That insignia is Black Templar though. It also makes perfect sense that the Space Marine chapter in this game be the Black Templar. They've seen every enemy of the Imperium from Tyranid to Chaos.
Edit: can anyone spot the epic fail that is world-gaming network's miniscule piece on Dark Millenium?

Kinda like Gametrailers did...
I still like that they actually made an article about it. Everyone else seems to have completely overlooked it.

Ugh...dey lump'd da Orkz in wiff dem Spikey gitz. Now dat'z jus' not proppa.
They also likened the game to WoW. Really? Just because it's an MMORPG automatically makes it like WoW? What a fail comment that is.

I posted a link to some screenies last page, you should look them through.

I'd like to make one point, and it stems from the fact that the chapters/legions/craftworlds/klanz/regiments that we see, are not necessarily the only ones in the game. From the looks of it, the Ultramarines, Death Guard, and Evil Sunz are also in the game.
From the looks of it, da Orkz possess Nobz (wiff 'Uge Choppaz), as well as Stormboyz, Killa Kanz and Deff Dreadz. Oh, and Wiz, it's "Deffkoptaz"
Included under Imperial Guard, should be the Valkyrie Vendetta and/or Vulture Gunship.
Space Marines also appear to have a Devastator Squad available to them, or at least the Heavy Bolter.
Eldar (dem stinkin' panzeez ) are confirmed to be included in the mix.
To sum it all up: The top four races from 40k are included along with the usual gadgets, gizmos, an gubbinz' that you'd expect each race to have.

Death Guard are the patron legion of Nurgle, which would explain the Great Unclean One (Herald of Nurgle). Unless of course, Chaos isn't simply one devoted to Khorne, and is more a Black Legion/Alpha Legion, rather than World Eaters.
^ Possibly could be that, but why wouldn't those weapons be included? Black Templar do use Heavy Bolters, in fact, they use them on their unique Land Raider template, the "Land Raider Crusader".
Also, a Bad Moonz Ork would not ride around in a Deff Kopta painted in Evil Sunz colours. Though they could be in "Space Marine", along with da Blood Axes, it is for the reason I stated previously that I believe the Evil Sunz will be in as well (also reinforces the fact we may be able to chose our legion/chapter/regiment/klan/craftworld).

AS I SAID EARLIER (you guys really need to start reading my posts...) The GUO seem to be an npc summoned by NPC nurgle cultist.

Just had a look back at your posts mate. You never said that. It's very possible that there are Cultists loyal to Nurgle (that would explain a more specific Chaos god, rather than a Chaos "omni-god" of sorts).
SquigPie 23 Aug 2010
What I meant was that the nurgle-dedicated daemons/cultists being npcs meant that you shouldn't take them as proof for there being playable nurgle-marines.
Although it would be kinda cool to be able to pick which god you wanted to follow.

If there's a forum for the game, you can bet your Daemonettes that it's been suggested.

This game looks nice, if enough people here get it, I may consider buying it
There are no HB shown so far. Any you've seen have been from SpaceMarine.
I saw a HB in the video Squig posted, around 0:43 methinks.

I based the list on the factions/chapters/weapons that I've actually seen in genuine DM game footage. I will bow to your greater knowledge of Ork decor however, they are just all green to me

The only HB I saw, in what was almost 20 views of the same thing, was the cock up where they showed SpaceMarine footage, where HB are confirmed.

I did. The videos just show more than those screenies. Also, you say in a previous post that one of the characters in the pics is an IG, isn't, it looks to me like a Scout/Neophyte.
Edited by Wizard, 24 August 2010 - 08:13.
Sgt. Nuker 24 Aug 2010
Scouts are clad in armor a bit heavier (and more noticable) than the IG's flak armour. That being said, scouts typically have some form of Bolt gun/pistol or a shotgun or sniper rifle. They also tend to don capes as well as goggles headware. They may appear to look like scouts, but I can assure you, those are squishy Guardsman.
Wizard 24 Aug 2010
You are quite right mate. The last character on the right, does indeed, appear to be an Imperial Guard trooper, possibly in the outfit of a Command Squad. I am used to the meat bags being in Shock Trooper garb ala DC etc.

Sgt. Nuker 24 Aug 2010
Even in Shock Trooper garb, a Guardsman is still easily distinguishable. The helmet of a Shock Trooper is more akin to that of a modern day pilot, whereas a Scout's headgear is more like that found in Splinter Cell. . as another note, a Shock Trooper's Hellgun fires quite a bit faster than those flashlights in the vid.
No worries though Wiz. I may be a Greenskin, but I knows a fing or two 'bout you silly pink 'oomiez.

Its looking very nice, I have avoided MMO's like the plague since WoW, but this game may change that.

Yeah, I guessed so, but I hoped that wasn't true because that would mean Aaron said something very....stupid.
