The current models aren't final yet, and the main gun is just free floating for the moment.

That core/chassis is really nice so far, I can't wait to see what it's like when you finish it! Awesome work! ^^

I appreciate all comments. And compliments or course.
This one is going to take awhile as getting it fully "realistic" mechanically will be quite time-consuming. (But it will be worth it, especially if I have some time to make a little animation of it in motion. ).

That is looking really good thinimus. I too can't wait to see the final product. I hope it all works out for you, so the finished product looks even better.

Nuker

Got the legs partially designed this morning. Figuring out how to design the frame and actuator system is tricky.

Yeah beef up the legs with some nice thick armour plating, then they will look great

Very nice model so far.
I think the gun should have more mass so it can support itself better, becuase it
looks really fragile right now. If you are going for a realistic look then maybe add
some cables and pistons to the legs and arm.
I wish you good luck on this project, becuase realism is always alot of work.

I see you are making progress. Is that the skeleton form of the legs? If it is, I'm sure the armor will be added later, but if it isn't, you may want to consider beefing up the legs (unless you have other plans).
Good work so far thinimus.
My best,
Nuker

Yeah, the legs so far are really just frames. I've got more actuators to do plus cooling and power components. I'm doing the frames first so I can go for the look where the internal mechanics are partially visible around joints and whatnot.
Ok ok, I am going to make the gun bigger after all. Though keep in mind I haven't built the armature assembly nor protection either. Plus auxilliary equipment.

The legs look a little skinny imo, but that's just my opinion...

Your thoughts...are mine....

Very nice, thinimus, but I think it needs a stablizer down the back of the leg.
Nexolate 09 May 2006
Yeah, definitely looking less skinny! Can't wait to see the 100% Completed Product, should be pretty sweet... >.>

The legs are 2/3rd's done. Here's a little shot walking.
I started playing with some armor at the hip using a shell tool in my modeling program.
It makes a hollow version of any shape, which makes creating complex but solid armor alot easier.
After I do that, then I make a solid roughly the shape of the internal frame and subtract the volume from the shell.
Here's a behind shot so you can get an idea : titan4behind.jpg (25.75K)

I just started using it playing with it recently. (I've been using this program for ten years and I only know about 1/4 of it. They keep adding more features. )

But it looks EXCELLENT so far

I'm definately going to work on that. The hips are too big currently.
It's a female Titan.
