The Iris is after all a muscle so I would expect it to look all fibrous
And it's interesting to see that the pupil isn't actually a hollow, but rather there is transparent gel inside. This isn't too surprising since I'm taking biology now (anatomy atm) but it's cool to be able to put a picture to the concepts and figures.

The blue ones look like tentacles and the brown ones look like mould or curtains .

Weird yes. Fragile, most definitely. Surgery on the eye, which, I would think would be one of the most nerve-wracking surgeries, requires the faintest of touches.
A good find indeed though Doc. Certainly gives a new perspective on the way we look at things.

i found the black disk to be especially unsettling when you could see it reflect some light.

I'll be honest, I found some of the pictures to be gross, only because the eyes sometimes looked like they were moldy or something, when I usually perceive eyes to be one of the more attractive features of human anatomy.
