Wiki updating
Wizard 08 Jul 2011
Right, I've noticed that our wiki is hugely out of date. HUGELY!
If everyone who has time to post on the forums were to make 5 edits (hell 1 edit each) each time they join the forums over the course of a week, we could bring it up to scratch pretty quick.
I know it's hardly exciting, but c'mon, it isn't difficult either. So pwease, pwetty pwease with sugar on top, take 5 minutes out of your day to make an edit.
Remember, every time you edit, Dauth still has 1/16th of an internetgasm

So... Any place where we can start?
Honestly, I'd suggest any page specific to the community and or culture as none of that has been done since Dauth left (pretty much). Sure there are some topics from SYD that can be added or refreshed and inactive members that can be editted as such.
The manuals are a bigger job and afaik they are being kept up to date by SWR people.
I would NOT change any link to .org or any new link should have .net. Fingers crossed that'll be resolved next week so we'll only have to update it anyway.

Don't do your own pages as that will create and orphaned link.
A good start is the maintenance page here http://wiki.fallouts...SDB:Maintenance
If you're feeling brave you could build up the manual information for C&C Fallout (a mod we have hosted, I think).
This is a link to all the wanted pages. I'd not worry about the manuals too much at first but instead would concentrate on the links towards the bottom.

If this project takes off then someone could link to "The Wiki Updating Project" or somesuch similar from the FSDB page where contributors could be listed. This gives people a way to get onto the wiki.

I've started work on a few odds and sods pages (was actually planning this now home for the summer but Wiz has rather beaten me to it ).
Also, Destiny, I'm going to roll back your edits, I thank you for thinking to do them, but it's not worth it when as explained above we're hopefully going to be able to switch back soon
Whilst I may not have time to do every article myself, you will find articles tagged for requiring updates here and articles with stub sections here, both of which will be good places to start for maintenance works too.
Finally, if you think anything has been missed out and deserves to be put in, feel free to do so. All I will ask is that you either link to it from another article (no orphans), or let us know so that we can work a link in elsewhere
Cheers folks
Also, Wiz, could you update this one with what you most recently know pretty please, because I'm sure I won't get it quite right: http://wiki.fallouts...org/wiki/Nagini

Big projects for people to write are the mods on this page

Well there is only one mod left on that page that requires any work. I've been trying to keep the culture and FS goings on up to date. CNC Fallout needs it's "universe" pages converted into a manual if someone fancies a hefty job.
I could really use some help here. Despite the fact that no one actually uses it anymore

Started some work on this for you Wiz.
Go be a good pet admin and delete the unused files would you.

Edit: Dealt with about 40 red links and basic fixes. I'm not sure if anyone wants to take on the CNC:Fallout manual work, looks beastly tbh.
