I just kind of automatically assumed so because all films nowadays are about superheroes.

They're shitting out superhero movies and tv shows like diarrhea.

This is annoying, because I don't give a crap about superheroes.

I understand the hate because on the surface they can look samey, but the main Marvel films have been superb. They have told a cohesive over arching story line over a substantial collection of movies. Take away the fact that their superhero films and you end up with a cinematic experience that has never been achieved before.
