Turns out Premiere Pro had been secretly filling my SSD with 140 GB worth of peak files and other rubbish Oo .

Oh yeah, I should of mentioned that. It's render files.
Whenever you start a project you can change it to another hard drive (called the scratch disk). It's fine to delete them though
