US fleet
tank50us 10 Aug 2006
The LCAC. Fast, reliable, and able carry a pair of Abrams Main Battle Tanks over 50 miles from ship to shore. However it is un-armed, but if your good enough to provide escort, that won't be a problem.

I KEEP SAYING AOW OWNS!!! aow had navy first. But your models own too. no offence.
tank50us 11 Aug 2006
My uncle cheats at Battleship! but other then that it owns
But in this, you'll be able to have a easy time controling your fleet, plus, if a ship is told to go somewhere where it can't go (too narrow, or too shallow), the ship won't even move there (the mouse changes to show you that it can't go there) also, if a sub moves into an area thats too shallow, it'll surface, keep this in mind when using diesals, since this is both a gift, and a curse (A the diesal gets to recharge its batteries, while at the same time, it can be targeted and sunk). My next ship might be a capital ship, so, stay tuned (its a WIP)
UPDATE: Keeping with my promise, the next ship to be seen here is the Ohio 2 Class.
The Ohio 2 Class Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Submarines are the most advanced SSBNs in the world. Modified from the Virginia class, they are 35% longer, and 10% wider. Because of their advanced nature, the Ohio 2's replaced the original Ohio class, which were launched in the 70's and 80's. Each SSBN in the class is fully capable of defending them selv's. They are also capable of inserting SEAL teams to make life miserable in enemy harbors.

All I got to say is... wow. Those are awesome. Keep it up, can't wait to see more.

damn, this sounds really good.
two things I want to suggest: supply ships (maybe so carriers dont have to steam 3000 miles for a fighter wing)
and maybe some form of supership (like a submersible aircraft carrier that can launch burst missiles (AC5 woot.))...maybe for a mission, or maybe usable by you.
just suggestions.
nice story as well

ehh, there aren't any Nukes in this realm, (A: most were used in WW3 and shot down, and B: the rest were destroyed when the war ended). Instead, SSBNs fire FAE (Fuel Air Explosive) tiped ICBMs, although they don't have the same power as a Nuke, they do something worse to ships in the affected area.... they set them on fire. I'm sure everyone here can understand why thats a bad thing.

maybe as an upgrade
anyway, on to the real meat
The US Subpen, this pen can re-arm, repair, and build all US submarines. Keep in mind the final version will have a roof, I only left it off so one can see the inteirior, which includes a sub in for repairs. the red things are automated cranes, which in the final version, will show things like hooks, pullies, etc. This pen can also load US Navy SEALs onto docked submarines.

Right now it looks sort of generic, BUT if it were skinned, that might change. It still looks fairly decent.
My best,

Is the SHW mod team planning on useing this sub pen in version 1.00 of there mod cause that would be sweet.
tank50us 12 Aug 2006
Any simularities between this Sub Pen, and the one you guys are refering too, is purely coincidental.
And now for a new model
The US Drydock, this facility is capable of servacing eveything but Capital Ships, Cruisers, and Subs. The other beauty of this Drydock is that it is mobile. Got a ship thats disabled? Now ships large enough to move it neer by? simple, move this Drydock over to the ship, pick it up, and move it back to a freindly port for more repairs (each facility can only do so much on its own). Don't freat though, the next Dry Dock is capable of sevacing heavier ships such as cruisers and Capital ships (with exaption to US SSBNs).
