Simo didn't need no pansy noobtubes and lolmores. He used an old shitty rifle with ironsight. And he killed about 600 Russians.

From wikipedia:
"Häyhä was credited with 505 confirmed plus 37 unconfirmed kills of Soviet soldiers. The unofficial Finnish front line figure from the battlefield of Kollaa places the number of Häyhä's sniper kills at over 800. A daily account of the kills at Kollaa was conducted for the Finnish snipers. Besides his sniper kills, Häyhä was also credited with over two hundred kills with a Suomi KP/-31 submachine gun, thus bringing his credited kills to at least 705. Remarkably, all of Häyhä's kills were accomplished in fewer than 100 days at a time of year with very short hours of daylight."

Most people would think twice before buying a boat named Titanic II.

And sure enough, when Briton Mark Wilkinson took the 4.8-metre cabin cruiser out for its maiden voyage, it promptly sank.

"If it wasn't for the harbourmaster, I would have gone down with the Titanic," Mr Wilkinson, who had to be fished out of the sea at West Bay harbour in Dorset, southern England, told local media.

"It's all a bit embarrassing and I got pretty fed up with people asking me if I had hit an iceberg."

Mr Wilkinson, in his 40s, had only recently bought the boat and brought it by road from his home in Birmingham in central England for its first outing.

After a successful fishing trip, things started to go wrong when he entered the harbour and the boat began taking on water.

Mr Wilkinson was forced to abandon ship and pictures showed him clinging to a rail before he was rescued.

One eyewitness said: "It wasn't a very big boat - I think an ice cube could have sunk it!"

(Aussie) Woman sues ex-fiance after falling while peeing from his veranda

Quote

A WOMAN who impaled herself on a picket fence when she fell while urinating from an unprotected veranda has sued her former fiance for substantial damages.

In a Supreme Court writ, Michelle Egglestone of South Ballarat claims that the veranda at the house in Smythes Creek was constructed without any or with inadequate ballustrading and this caused her to fall a small distance to the star picket fence below.

Ms Egglestone, 35, sustained "penetrative injuries to the rectum, vagina and bladder necessitating surgical treatment involving laparotomy, repair of the bladder, repair of the vault of the vagina and colostomy'', according to her statement of claim.

"The plaintiff sustained injury at the premises whilst she was urinating from the verandah which was inadequately lit,'' it says.

She had sued Leslie Furness, saying that he failed to ensure the veranda complied with the building codes, failed to ensure the star pickets underneath had protective capping to minimise the risk of anyone "coming into contact with them''.

She said Mr Furness was the owner and occupier of the house and owed her a duty of care.

Ms Furness said the pelvic and lower abdominal injuries left her with scarring, depression and anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder and nightmares.

Her statement of claim says that her injuries while urinating were "a danger which could have been avoided with reasonable care on behalf of the defendant''.

Ms Egglestone says at the time of the incident on November 1, 2008 she was employed part-time by Val Pied shoes in Ballarat and lost income as a result of her injuries.

No defence has yet been filed.

A Windsor campaigner has warned of the dangers of social networking after being targeted by men who are attracted to amputee women.

Charlotte Fielder, who was born missing a hand, has been awarded an MBE for her work helping people who are "limb deficient" with the charity Reach.

After signing up to Facebook, she found her profile image had been copied and posted on a pornographic website.

Her image was subjected to obscene comments by men attracted to amputees.

The image used was one of Mrs Fielder fully-clothed.

She said many women amputees she knew had been contacted by so-called "devotees".

Mrs Fielder, 47, said she joined Facebook in 2008 and used it to keep in touch with people she helps.

When speaking to a female athlete from the British Paralympic Team she discovered her image had been used for pornographic purposes.

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick wanted to play Battlefield 3 at E3 2011 yesterday. Only one problem: he had to get past EA.

A senior informant has told CVG of how they witnessed Kotick's PA discuss Bobby's chances of a hands-on trial of the military FPS with EA reps on the door of the publisher's non-public presentation.

Our deepthroat tells us that the female assistant hopped to the front of the EA queue on Wednesday morning (08/06/11). The DICE-developed military title is only being shown behind closed doors in Los Angeles - and not on console.

Her request was reportedly stewed over for a minute in private, until an EA rep re-emerged on the public show floor. He then explained that senior management had been consulted about the Activision chief's request, but that "it would not be possible".

We're told by our witness that Kotick's PA put up a small conversational fight before walking away. She did not look in a good mood. Our observer asked an EA rep on the door for clarification of what he thought he'd seen immediately afterwards, and the events were corroborated.

Seriously, though. Beyond amazing.

EA's Battlefield 3 will be released on 360, PS3 and PC on October 25 in the US and three days later in Europe.

Activision's Modern Warfare 3 will hit the same formats on November 8 worldwide.

Ants attack crapping man

Quote

Doctors in Wuhan, Hubei Province have recently treated a very strange animal attack – that of a villager who was subjected to a surge of ants while defecating in the grass.

The man surnamed Yue, 43 years old, was enjoying a game of cards and a few beers with a friend on the afternoon June 5.

Feeling the need to relieve himself, he retired to the grassy area surrounding his living quarters, but unfortunately chose the wrong spot, as his activities soon disturbed a mound of ants, which started clambering angrily up his legs and even reached his face and mouth.

"My legs were all swollen and my tongue was numb," he said later.

"I've never experienced anything like that."

His wife, surnamed Wang, quickly sent him to the hospital, where doctors said the suspected he suffered from an allergic reaction, as the type of ants that attacked him were a common variety that aren't known to be poisonous.

A man in Indiana, U.S lost his life, when he lost during a game of Russian roulette against his pet dog. Russell Little, who was known to suffer from depression, had been drinking moonshine for several hours on Tuesday evening when he decided to play the deadly game, with his dog in the backyard of his home, in South Bend, Indiana.
Russian roulette ends badly for man who was playing with dog

At around 9pm Mr Little picked up his hand gun announced to his wife that he was going to play Russian roulette, it’s thought that he aimed at his dog a couple of time but let off empty rounds, before turning the gun on himself.

Captain Jim Andrews, of the South Bend Police Department, told the local newspaper his wife ‘said he got tired of that, then put the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger’.

On hearing the gunshot Mrs Little called the police and when they arrived her husband was still alive, he was then rushed to Memorial hospital where doctors battled to save him for 45 minutes. The local paper, the South Bend Tribune, said that an X-ray revealed the bullet entered just above Mr Little’s right ear and ended up lodged in the right side of his skull.

Shocked neighbours gathered outside Mr and Mrs Little’s home after the incident, many said that they heard gunshots, but they had no idea what had happened.

Russian man buries himself alive to bring good luck, instead, he dies

A superstitious Russian man died after burying himself alive in the hopes it would bring him "good luck."

The 35-year-old computer programmer told friends that spending a night underground would bring him good fortune for the rest of his life.

"According to his friend, the man wanted to test his endurance and insistently asked his friend to help him spend the night buried," police official Alexei Lubinsky told the BBC.

The victim dug a hole in his garden in the eastern city of Blagoveshchensk and created an improvised coffin with pipes for air.

With a cell phone and a bottle of water in hand, he hopped in and had his friend cover the coffin with about eight inches of dirt.

Heavy rain fell overnight and when the friend returned the next morning, his pal was dead.

Police suspect the rain somehow blocked the air supply.
