Parrot arrested for helping drug dealers in Columbia
In a bizarre incident, a parrot has been arrested by the Columbian police for allegedly helping drug dealers escape during a raid, a news report said.
According to Columbian newspaper El Heraldo, the incident took place when 300 police officers, acting on a tip-off, raided a hideout used by alleged drug dealers in the city of Barranquilla.
However, everyone managed to escape from the house as the parrot, named Lorenzo, raised an alert by saying, "Run, run or the cat will get you!"
Lorenzo, who had been trained to alert residents upon the arrival of the police, was taken into custody and subsequently handed over to an animal rights organization.
A police officer told the newspaper that while the bird was being taken away in a car, it kept on saying: "Run, run!"

Girl's party in Hertfordshire off after 21,000 RSVP
A 14-year-old girl from Hertfordshire who included her address on a Facebook invitation to her party was alarmed when 21,000 said they would be coming.e party was cancelled when the school pupil was swamped by RSVPs from unwanted would-be guests on the social networking site. The girl, from Harpenden, had reportedly only intended to invite 15 friends to her 15th birthday party.
Police said officers would patrol the area on the day of the planned party.Harpenden neighbourhood officer Sgt Lewis Ducket, of Hertfordshire Police, said: "We are aware of this and have been assured that the event is no longer taking place.
"I would urge people who may be planning to come to Harpenden for the party to make other plans.
"We will have officers on patrol in the area on 7 October to provide a reassuring presence and who will be able to deal with any issues, should they arise."
Although the original invitation was removed from the site, a new version was visible to all Facebook users on Monday. The event was not created by the girl herself but her address was again posted on the site for all to see and 19 people had confirmed their attendance. The incident follows criticism of Facebook's privacy settings, with concerns being raised that they are too complicated. A spokeswoman stressed that the privacy settings available for events created on the site are separate to those for users' profiles, on which they post information about themselves.
When someone creates an event on Facebook they can tick a box saying "anyone can view and RSVP (public event)".

I can't deny he played a large part in the music industry and was a successful recording artist. I do not see why this should make him untouchable, however. You aren't canonised for writing Billie Jean

Tbh even if they were making money off a more obscure figure I would be opposed (though it is counterintuitive).

I think that the obscure nature of the way in which they are making money in this instance is wrong, but it wouldn't be the first time. This Is It anyone?

Yeah I refused to watch that one on principle. Not to mention MJ's father is very greedy.
