_A year ago, we first discovered the signal. A low, rumbling radio noise, coming from the direction the ancient Earth supposedly lays. And it was rapidly coming closer, like, 30%-of-the-speed-of-light rapidly.
It's a starship, using a magnetic sail to slow down, and they were really slamming on the brakes. Everyone was looking forward to their arrival, everyone thought it’s our distant brethren from the ancient Earth we left so many centuries ago.

We were wrong. So terribly, terribly wrong.

These were no humans, they might have come here from Earth, or they might come from some star between Earth and us. One thing is for sure. They do not want us here. They didn’t even try to make contact, started shooting before even settling into orbit. Most of our sats above are already gone, and now they’re dropping...something onto this planet.

We dreamt of meeting the people from which we came, instead we found ourselves involved in a damned interstellar war. One we can’t win, at least not here. The evacuation order has been given. By tomorrow, we’re on our way back to Tenorra.
