Shortly before the attack, the FTL com-relays linking Eridani with the rest of the FTL-net have been destroyed by said Aliens.

The purpose of the ISSV was simple: Get to Earth, tell them what happened, come back with as many ships as possible.

The total of its propulsion systems are: 4 turbojet engines, 2 Scramjets, 4 solid fuel boosters, 1 liquid methane rocket booster, 6 turbo-ion drives and a single FTL drive core.

Very nice Rho. But you could have made the cockpit a little more futuristic imo. You have basically put scramjets on the back of a pretty regular plane, albeit a nicely modeled one.

But the basics of aerodynamics are still the same. Or in other words: The air flows the same way now as it will in 400 years and as it did 40 years ago.
