I listened to rap for a good number of years, right up through adolescence. Am I an idiot, Mr. Sic and Ms. Eve?
Music doesn't corrupt anybody. It only reflects personally-held views.

I was never refering to you Machairi.
And belive it or not, its just that way. At least its here in Germany.
Before the Rap was spread out like it is now, I was able to walk trough the Streets without Comments like
" Aý yo, Bitch " or " Youre Music Sucks ".
At those Time´s I never realy spoke to them, and they just Insult you because they got nothing better to do.
And when you get them when theyre alone, its a Complete Diffrent Story ... then our Wannabe Ganxtas are quiet like Mice when the Cat is there.
I know alot of People wich listen to Rap and are not " Idiots ".
But I also know alot of People wich are, so if you felt that I was refering to you, then you misunderstood me.

Same stupid situation in my country too! Sometimes these "individualitys" exaust me ,so much emptynes and very rarely there are ones who behind that are personalyties . But here it is whit all gendres or styles ,so many degraded youth are dwelling here.

If you have something to contribute for the Shockwave archive please share or point me to it !

And greatest gratitude goes for Kid and Sic ! ;)

I listen to whatever takes my fancy, generally stuff from when i was younger and random bits from newer peices that have skill.
I have never been bothered by rap, its lost the art that i look for in music.

I love listening to rap, even gangsta rap, as long as I ignore the fact that these guys actually believe their bullshit. It's funny as to listen and dance to as long as you ignore this fact. And as I am warez for life, I take pride in the fact that by laughing at them I am not in fact encouraging them.

This sick sig was made by da man, Cattman2236. Yeeh boii!

You killed my entire family... and I don't like that sort of thing...

I listen to rap quite frequently, especially if it has a good base to it

*Puts On Anti-Flame Suit*
Just a few points..! Don't bash away before you read through though.
-First; if the tune is good and fits the mood I'll listen to it without a second thought. Maybe even dance to it.
-Second; sometimes you need to allow yourself to be "stupid" in a sense, talk about lame things and impossible dreams, drugs, drinks, sex, cars, money.. whatever lowly topic you'd normally avoid. If you can't talk about it then you may listen to it, laugh at it, and get over it really.
-Third; it's good to keep an eye on what's being said, what people get in their minds listening to it and what some individuals will aim for in their life.
-Fourth; I might not agree with the content but I can't dish others expressing themselves.
- Fifth; it so happens I might stumble upon lyrics I can actually relate to.
So there, coming from someone mainly into Industrial/EBM/Electro/Darkwave/Hardcore...
:dj:
Just chill about what it does to kiddies. Some of the problem lies in their own brains, some in the state of the world they are growing up in and lastly some to what they are listening to.
If you got kids they'll grow out of it, no worries. Most sane people do, so just do your part as a parent and let them evolve.

Well, I just listen to good music. I really hate what a lot of people in this forum listen to. Ekklitz and I listen to pretty much the same stuff.
