There is just absolutely no reason to use PNG unless you are posting a transparent image.

EDIT: @Chyros: In this case, if you had saved as a jpg, you would have used only a third of the filesize... with the same quality. Might not mean much to you on your bazillion Gbit interwebs, but it soon adds up here.

Ah, I see. Well the reason I always use PNG files is because I only know how to use Paint and Paint is very terrible at saving to JPG files, because it loses a lot of colour information, while PNG files are always very pristine.

Try using GIMP, it's not the best, but anything's got to be better than paint, right?

Don't use Gimp, it can be a bit complicated. Try Paint.Net, it's like an advanced version of Paint which is very easy to use.

I use the Columns UI plugin. Mostly because it reminds me of Rythmbox in Ubuntu. But now that I've been using Banshee in Linux, I want to find a UI that emulates it.

Believe me, it was way worse The stuff I have on my desktop are the stuff I daily work on, and cba to look up in a folder every time I need them. Although, now you mention, some stuff hasn't been touched for weeks...
