I know that someone else asked about this but that was when the demo was released.
Considering that the full game has been released for 3 weaks know, is there a tool that can open/edit the DAT files ?

EA is still working on the SDK , at least as they say and they will release it. For the dat files, I know jacksh**.

I mean since it's the same SAGE engine as Generals there has to be something and I know the SDK it's NOT a solution becouse it's just for editing maps, textures and not for playing with the engine itself !
Just out of curiosity....when hackers make a no-cd patch for this game whenever a new patch is released by EA, all they do is to change the cnc3game.dat file everytime. Besides a HEXEDITOR what other software do they use to manipulate the file ???

Yes, there is a way to edit it. It's called a disassembler. It's also illegal.
The game.dat file contains the game engine itself and everything that goes with it. Editing it means reverse engineering the game code, and that's not allowed.
