SIG OF THE WEEK #38
Theme: Command and Conquer.
Deadline: Friday.
Rules: Some more changes to the rules.

• Sig must be no larger than 500x200 px.
  
• Sig must be made by yourself, and your name must be shown.
  
• You can change your entry, only 1 time, before the voting.
  
• Entries can now only be posted in the thread.
  
• You CANNOT enter a sig that has been shown on these forums before. That includes being entered in previous SotW's.
  
• Disqualification will happen if the expectations of these rules are not met.

does that mean even one that has just been shown in a sig gallery, and not previously in a SoTW?

It means ANY signature shown ANYWHERE on these forums before, including art threads or previous signatures, entering a previously shown sig from now on will result in disqualification.

This is to stop double entries, as I've seen a few recently.

i was ill yesterday, so i didn't have time to visit/pin so officially done now

IMO the rule about not using previous sigs is a bad idea, when i did that i lost a lot of entries, but when i removed that rule, a lot of people entered, times may have changed, but that's just my opinion

The hall of fame thread ran out of room for images, that's why i stopped updating it, yeah i guess i could have added a new post, but hey 1) i'm lazy and 2) it probably wouldn't have looked that good...

probably wont enter this week, as its the last 2 weeks of school, and i'm really concentrating on finishing my art coursework to the best of my abilities, as its the only subject i can actually achieve an A in at this late stage...

I kinda don't like that either. But double sig entries are rightful.

I suppose there is a point there. It's not really a Sig of the Week if it's not really a Sig of that Week.

Besides, for all purposes you could have the same Sig every week if the themes were that related.
Not exactly a fun few compos is it?

i think it should just be that if you have entered a sig into one comp your not allowed to enter it again, rather than an all over ban on any previous work

Without that rule, all it will be is people circulating their month old sigs, not the sigs they actually made for the COMPETITION. The point of this is not to enter OLD sigs, but whoever can make the best sig, in a week with the included theme.

This will reduce laziness and increase originality.
