I think you play if you lock yourself in a room full of Shockwave posters while listening to Shockwave music, and not to forget... play shockwave
:D

I'm not trying to start a forum game or anything. I just want to see if there's any more people like me who picked up strange responses to everyday situations due to gaming.

I used to be the same with Counterstrike, but that's another story.

I picked ShW because it's a game we all play and the already strange occurances would be easier to understand.

When i hear a loud noise, i do sometimes twitch my mouse hand. however most people dont notice because i spin almost on the spot and focus on the source.

That's a lot for you guys? Then I won't even tell mine I'll probably sound like a freak. Man MMORPGs really suck the life out of a person.

Oh go on, anyway i think at some point soon, me and Nansolo will do a NWN attempt, since its not too energy sapping we can probably manage 12 hrs only stopping for food once and beer 12 times...

My World of Warcraft guild decided to run Molten Core and then Black Wing Lair consecutively. We've played for about 20 hours total with a few rests in between but no sleep. I raided WoW for 20 hours and I all got was a piece for my Tier 2 set.

When I noticed I was controlling my character almost robotically, I noticed I had reached my limit. It was like my mind was completely blank and shut down and only the dexterity part remained active.

I actually got promoted that night because I was following the raid leader's orders to the letter. Obviously, I had turned into a zombie.

30 hours of Kinghts of the Old Republic 1-2. Only stopping five times to empty and reload "clips"....

I played through the entire stories of each game as dark during that time.
Remember me? You old timers?

I get typos when writing. Seriously. ;) I accidentally switch letters, or skip ahead a letter or two, or basically anything you see as a tpyo on teh intretnest.

You know you play too much Shockwave when.....
.....you see war footage of American tanks overrunning an Iraqi camp and think "if only they'd built more RPG troopers/Stinger sites/Scorpions this wouldn't have happened....."
.....you see the pic of Saddam getting pulled out of his hole and think "but how? He could have exited anywhere!"
.....you see aerial footage of a rural region and immediately a plan pops into your head on how to build your base there.
.....you drive through a beautiful, hilly landscape (like the Ardennes) and think about how to defend it. (guilty :dope:)
.....you see news footage on a hostage situation and think "why don't they just use flashbangs?"
.....you see aerial footage of a city and there is a flag/antenna on the roof of one or more structures, and the first thing that pops into your head is "garrisoned".

You destroy unoccupied buildings for fear that they can be garrisoned.
You make a makeshift flamethrower with your garden hose and spray it back and forth to create a flame wall.

Also, I think the most time I spent playing a game was 10 hours with Axis and Allies (the board game). I come close with 9 hours of BF1942 though.
