Bull. It's just fine to have a topic like this until it directly insults the female gender. If they don't wish to venture in this topic, so be it, but there is nothing wrong with the title.

It's not bullshit. To me personally it makes me feel I don't belong here because I'm not a straight male. I hate it to see how some of you drool over pictures from girls (frankly I don't want to know that shit, do that alone in your own time kthnx) and I am against displaying people as an object (which also happens here). We are not some kind of object. Also I believe a boy- or girlfriend is not something to parade around with, to show off (which happens here).

It is bullshit because you have just as much right to make your own topic and I wouldn't feel offended in the slightest bit. I simply would not stray in to the boyfriend topic.
Here's a simple comparison:
A topic about Battlefield 2 should be about as offending to non-BF2 owners as this one is to women. I mean some FPS-goers/Males don't stray toward the Modern Combat genre/Women. And don't go all feminist and say I am being offensive in comparing women to a genre of video games, you get the point.
Hell, the comment about us drooling over these pictures of girls is more offensive than this topic is. I'm only here for the conversation.

This is where you're wrong. I'm not the kind of person who makes such a topic, because I do not believe it to be right. Admittedly, the amount of times I saw these kind of topics, I do have thought about it.
Games are objects, women are not. That is the difference. While I have nothing against discussing some dating or relation ship problem, I do find it wrong to be showing women (or men for that matter) off.
And in all honesty, it is times like this where I really wish I was a member of a modding forum with only sane, decent, not-very-hormone-full members who respect women and don't think of them as an object.
EDIT, Sorry but some of you do. Post a "hot woman thread" comes to mind?? I find it offensive that people do that kind of thing here, if they're on their own then they can do that if you they, but I don't want to read it kthnx.

i think the main idea of this topic is pointles, offensive or not, if you have a girlfreind, shouldn't you be hanging out with her rather than browsing through pictures of other people's? and i really hope all these people have permission to post their gf's pic on the internet...

Blaat, people are definitely not just objects. We aren't showing people. We are showing pictures. Pictures are indeed objects. However, you are correct that some of the members here are the overly hormonal type...
Now I thought that you thought that this topic was wrong because it was about women. Sorry for jumping to the conclusion. But I see what you are getting at, but as my first sentence states, I disagree.
I don't see anything wrong with displaying pictures of anybody because they are still just pictures and we know nothing more that is behind the picture.

Well what if someone loves their girl so much that they want to show the whole world?
What then?
No one can control who gets offended by what but at least try to be a lil open minded here... I think you're going over the line by saying the guys here want to "drool" over pics of other ppl's girlfriends.
It might be to show off or it might be just a variation on the "Pics of yourself" thread. Either way, it's not pr0n or anything so why be offended?
