i dont now but in cold war soviets has a project for invisible plane but has been oficialy closed for absence of much energy for this project. Some people speaking rumors about his unoficialy opening in 50. years - it was haves nuclear reactor on it (i dont now how to past time, shit, shit). It was based on strong electromagnetic field that makes fotons bend on that field - like air in wind channel on the surface of car. Fotons has carriers of beam/light energy...

please, someone help me with english

Its bullshit. The most advance project that Russia currently has is the Pak-FA. Invisible jets are not gonna happen. The klingons still haven't accepted our earthling bid on the cloaking device.

Both the US and Russia experimented with nuclear powered bombers at one point, but neither of them went anywhere with it for the obvious reasons.

As for optic camouflage, the the rumor is that the Boeing Bird of Prey experimented with it, so I would be surprised if Russia wasn't working along the same lines.

MiG-1's, MiG-3's, MiG-17's and 15's and 9's and 29's and 27's and 25's and 23's

Why 56? I'm fairly certain there are no even-number production model MiGs out there.

Total bullshit if you ask me.

You're right Boidy. Odd numbers are for the fighter planes. Even numbers were for the bombers IIRC.

As for the "photo", I think it's been PS'd. :)

There are even numbered fighters. Those are the prototypes, like the T-50, Mig-2000, or Mig 1.42/44.

PAK-FA, Russias very late and still in prototype stage response to the raptor lol...

Anyways, i'm personally more interested in plasma stealth (go google it and look on wiki) from russia. but unfortunately, as it looks right now, the chances of russia making a top quality fighter competetive with the new generation (rafale, EF, gripen (not really the gripen lol), raptor) are almost none., THey are simply too poor. They had a nmber of very promising designs from Mikoyan Gurevich and Sukhoi, those being the Mig-29M/K, Mig 1.42/1.44 and the Su-37. But they were simply too poor to afford them, the 37 and 29 are simply upgrades of existing fighters, and the new mig ain't that expensive (comparitively to the raptor), ithe chances of russia being able to pay for something better than those is not likely at all.

Seems like even if a plane were to be invisible it wouldn't be that much help since vapor trails and radar would just give its position away anyways.

The "T" as in Type designator is reserved for tanks in Russia and in China and probably a few other countries that Russia sold tanks to. :stickattack3:

T-34, T-55, T-72, T-80, T-88, T-90, T99, ect...

The plane doesn't exist :\ Shame on that evil guy who posted this fantasy.

The problem of such camo is that it's physically impossible. There are only two ways - to make the whole plane from something transparent (which is unimaginable) and the second to cover all of the plane with camera-video projectors. The first one mean that you must make everything from glass\plastic, the second one means that this plane will cost as an air-craft factory and will eat energy as a little village. Although, the plane's detectability in the range of electronic devices grows in times.
This mean that even if USA will manage to build it, it will 1 craft with attached nuclear reactor, unvisible for eyes of guys, but superb-visional for all radars, SAMs and planes around. Saying shortly - total bullshit

However, we DID created a plane with nuclear reactor that even flown, he-he :drunk:

But, however, a crash of such plane could be quite ecologically unhealthy...

You're a little off there. It is very possible to bend light around an object. That's the idea behind optic camouflage.

Like CNC Nod stealth technology. Makes a "Bubble" around object that bends light.
If you wanted it to be invisible, just cover it in mirrors.

Wasn't there a camo under development for soldiers in the US? I read about in NatGeo and the theory sounds quite possible. Basically, it's just light refraction. Sure, it's not entirely invisible, but on a plane, who would notice that piece of sky that looks a tad different to the rest?
