But are production costs getting cheaper and are sale prices of newer models cheaper than the older ones?

I don't know shit about economics but I'm guessing that's how it will go. Prices will go down, but then they will go up again as soon as a new shiny bell-and-whistle comes off the assembly line, rendering previous technology much devalued in the face of this new technology. Example. All my computer items are worth about... 500 dollars right now, when about 5 years ago, they were worth 1499.99 plus tax.

But with these volatile and probably unefficient mirrors, I don't really see that much applications for it as one would hope. It will still be a long way before we can see Master Yoda talking in our faces from the distant world of Dagobah
