THIS IS HACKAAAAA!
Sgt. Nuker 11 Sep 2007
And that little pestilent scum got me. Guy has no imagination if it is really him. We know each other well enough not to fall for his little trick. As he tries to fool us all, precious seconds tick away from his life that he will never get back. When he could have done something productive, he will look back on days like this and wish he hadn't done this.
P.S. CodeCat, that sounds like a really good idea. I support going to MSN support and nailing this little pecker to the floor.

Alias 11 Sep 2007
I won't be on MSN in the next few days, due to this.
I should also urge anyone who gets a PM by "Shockwave_Rocks" or any other member that looks like so or similar to delete it immediately and not click the link, as it contains many Shock Images (I didn't click, I just did a bit of research), and I urge you not to click as it could quite possibly download the trojan as well.

I'm taking the same action as Alias, so if you see me on, it's a good guess that it isn't me.
Stinger 11 Sep 2007
For God's sake, someone remove the fucking link from Alias' post.

CodeCat 11 Sep 2007
He's lying. And if he isn't, then he should've thought about that before he started raiding the forum and spreading illegal versions of SW around.
Areze 11 Sep 2007
I wouldn't be surprised if it was him. And I deleted the PM i got from that Shockwave_Rocks! retard.
CodeCat 11 Sep 2007
But who's going to believe that? Especially after all the trouble he's caused?
logical2u 11 Sep 2007
This, uh, doesn't seem to be the same person.
Please compare the use of apostrophes between the hacker and this guy fellow.
If that matters at all.
Evidence does seem to be mounting against either Guy or someone well versed in his mannerisms. Which, due to the nature of the internet, is likely to be Guy.
Quick edit: What's the IP on this PM spammer fellow? Proxy or what?

Son of a bitch got me too, CodeCat can you think of a way for me to remove this without having to totally reformat my Hard drive?
Stinger 11 Sep 2007
This kind of thing is never going to have a positive outcome.
Best nip it in the bud now.

I'm gonna run a scan of my computer to see if I was affected with this trojan. I have an unused account on DTS and one or two of the hacked people on the original convo are on my list. Now if people are gonna add me, they're gonna ask.
logical2u 11 Sep 2007
Just set up Spybot's Teatimer, keep some sort of Auto-scanner running, and don't download anything or accept any webcam invitations. That should let you detect or stop many attempts to compromise systems.
Saint 11 Sep 2007
Hasn't got me yet. I must be lucky?

Run Spybot Search and Destroy: If Kenny has what I think he has, it'll catch it. Try AVG or something similar too, just to cover your bases.
Restart your systems, see if that works. It might be a one session thing.
Then roll back to say yesterday, patch with all the latest security updates (One should stop this) and change your MSN passwords.
If it persists following Rollback, go into Msconfig and hunt down untrustworthy Services and Startup entries, and disable them. BE VERY AWARE OF NAMES WITH TYPOES OR ABBREVIATIONS! Google anything you don't recognize (Which will be quite a lot). I got a hijacker 2 years ago, called MNSMessenger.exe in the start up file.
That should get rid of most trojans, etc. If it persists beyond that, make a backup of word documents and videos, then wipe the rest and start anew. At the point where neither Spybot, AVG, and Msconfig can detect anything, there's probably something in the kernal, the legit windows stuff, or the boot sector.
