Hopefully the missions will be slightly harder.

But but but... MULTIMELTAS!

It's still only a close-range weapon, even if it is a super-heated blast of air. I'm still dead-set against the Sisters and until proven otherwise, I always will be.

From what I've been told, the campaign is going to rock. Instead of conquering one planet (Kronus in DC's case), you'll have the chance to conquer an entire galaxy (or at least a solar system) :P . I hope there's more of a story behind the campaign though, like in the original DoW and WA.

...I was at least hoping for Daemon Hunters....well ill definatly gonna boycott SoB (Nuker this is really funny :P )...I mean they aint anything different apart from SM except these are female....so what if they have more flame and melta weps its an army what counts and i dont think as a army they deserve to be in teh game

Oh and the SoB are heaps different from vanilla marines.

Sister's of Battle

You all might want to read that if you don't already know some of the history or what you can expect from these Sisters.

1). They're the Emperor's religious zealots. Goodie... I'd much rather deal with the police (Imperial Guard), than these religious enforcers.

2). The Penitent Engine has a tendency to go berzerk, just like the Chaos Dreadnought. I wonder if this will have any kind of bearing on how this skeleton Dreadnought will function or if you'll even have control of when and where this thing throws a tantrum.

3). If Sister Celestine isn't included, Relic putting the Sisters of Battle in the game is all for naught. According to the history of WH40k, Sister Celestine is a "living saint", so she's a pretty important and powerful figure.

These are just a few things you should know before you delve in and drink deep all that is the Sisters of Battle.

Those aren't the Police, THESE are the police!

Funnily enough, the Witchhunters mod had these guys are the T1 unit.

Oh and having Sister Celestine in game would be kind of like having Commissar Yarrick or Khan the Betrayer in the game, it'd be weird to see multiple of them running around. We've already seen a living saint of sorts from the screenies though.

This is what I have to say:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I so wanted Tyranids. But then again considering the title of the expansion... sigh. Oh well. If I wanted to play Sisters of Battle or Inquisition or whatever I'd just give Imperial Guard a different paint scheme. I suppose pipe organ missiles and nearly naked chicks with chainsaws would be good too. Dark Eldar Raider looks sick though.

It's the 41st millenia, they have things covered, don't worry  .

Those Dark Eldar riding "glider boards" are called Hellions. Wicked creatures they are, but not nearly as wicked as the Wyches or the Talos  .

Maybe they can't include named characters, but the Sisters of Battle better have a decent "ultimate" unit. Something comparable to the Baneblade/Avatar/Daemon Prince/Monolith/Hammerhead/Squigoth/Land Raider is a must.

You're snorting if you're using Ethereal as an ultimate unit.

Also Gorgutz isn't Ork ultimate unit is he? But he is pretty damn strong though, and Squigs are just too damn big.

The Sisters of Battle are definitely getting the "Living Saint" (last few pics).

Yay, let's bring in aircraft =/ . So they're bringing in two more races, making the campaign sprawl over more territory, and adding air units to the game. I'll take the former two choices. Yes, the table-top WH40k has aircraft choices, but honestly, how often are these used? Maybe I should just wait a while until Soul Storm comes out before I completely write it off.

The Necrons (and possibly the Tau) are gonna get screwed over if they don't have access to aircraft. The Necrons don't have any aircraft choices, since there aren't any for the table top version, so this is kind of understandable. So what about adding the Deceiver in as a choice for the Destroyer Lord to turn into? Chaos has the Chaos Lord turn into the Daemon Prince and their Sorcerer into the Bloodthirster, so why can't the Necrons have the same deal? Necrons, from what I've heard, are getting the short end of the stick in this expansion. Too many n00bs complained the Necrons were "too powerful", so thanks to them, the Necrons are getting a serious downgrade. >:

Tau should definitely have aircraft though, as should the Space Marines. Space Marines should also have access to Bike Squads.Imperial Guard should also have access to the Valkyrie if it isn't planned for them already. The Imperial Guard should also get upgrade options for the Leman Russ (such as Demolisher/Executioner/Conquerer/Vanquisher variants and different sponson options). The Vindicator should be given to the Space Marines, and the Eldar gain the War Walker, Swooping Hawks, and the Striking Scorpions, as well as access to the Harlequin Troop. The Orks are missing a lot of fun stuff, such as their Dreadnought, Warbike, Warbuggy, and a few upgrade options for their infantry.

There are a lot of things THQ and Relic are leaving out of this game for each race. Things that would make the game a little more entertaining and more like the table top version.

In a typical TT game with aircraft they really didn't get a chance to do more than 1 attack run...

I'm all for Necrons not getting air units, long as they get the Pylon :D

Tau will get air units. Probably the Orca, I'd say...
Quote

Sgt. Nuker's Photo Sgt. Nuker 05 Nov 2007

Tau should get more than just the Orca. Maybe Relic and THQ should look on Forgeworld a bit more often. The Tau should get their Piranha, Barracuda, and Tiger Shark.

Orks need their Battle Wagon, Looted Rhino, Battle Fortress, and maybe.....maybe the Gargantuan Squiggoth.

Give the Eldar the Wave Serpent, Cobra and Scorpion Type II Super Heavy Grav tank, Wraith Guard, Dire Avengers, and Shining Spears.

Imperial Guard needs to include the Death Korps of Krieg, as well as a few of their vehicles. They also need to include the new Artemia pattern Hellhound instead of the "old" version.

Chaos needs to include the Thousand Sons and their Havoc squad.

Space Marines should have the option to make either the Land Raider or the Land Raider Crusader. They should also have the option to turn the Land Speeder into the Land Speeder Tempest. Space Marines should also include the Salamanders Chapter, as well as the Razorback option for the Rhino. Dreadnoughts should have more weapon options such as a Plasma Cannon, Multi Melta, Heavy Bolter or Auto Cannon.

The Necron should have the Pylon. If they don't, the upgrade given to all of the other existing sides will make the game a tad lop-sided.

Nuker

That'd be one INSANELY MASSIVE expansion...

I think I'm putting my money on the Tau getting the Tiger Shark: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/rgts.htm

@ Nuker most of the structures and builder units in DC were designed by relic themselfs why do you think they can't do the same with airborne units for the necrons ?
