I'm liking the Dark Eldar more and more. Their Archon looks pretty good too.

I see that the Sisters will be getting the Immolator (and were those multi-meltas I saw, or just heavy-flamers?) I'm not really impressed by the Canoness.

Hellions, Battle Sisters and Exorcists. I smell a campaign pic for the Sisters, and I submit the scripted circles around four of them as evidence. I also see Heavy Flamer towers and the Canoness at the top of the hill.

IMO opininon Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle(lol how long and stupid name waagh :P ) will change the gamplay too much so we cant know really whats gonna happen about all the current balance.IMO opinino SOB will roll over nearly anything including necrons with these heavy flamers.Why here"the reason if you demoralize the enemy he has no chance ina straight firefight or melee(chaos are exception about morale nealry all their late tier units have none which is insane even the Eldar Seer Council that has 1200 or even 1400 with Embolden is demoralizable pretty easy so you could imagine what wil happen with a melee army full of flamers.Not to mentioin that current flamers have great advantage over other units when it comes to fire on the move-cause they have 70% accuracy which is pretty much(only hellhound has 15% for balance reasons :cool: ).IF you dont get my idea here"s another way to pose things-you cant fight demoralized or outshoot or out melee when demoralized.So SoB wil be a reall pain in the ass for IG for example and maybe necrons cause NW have pretty much little morale amount lategame and even eraly game(Eldar Guardians have more and even Guardsmen with the priest and upgrades).About Dark Eldar they will be more Chaos then Chos itself IMO first nearly all their units showed are melee specialist(sick ones in killing aspect :) !!! )And they have only Warriros for shooting(i am sure the dark lance heavy weapon will be sick against all vehicles) and with the hovering transports and weapon platforms(fragile though i am sure in that)as the shooting part they maybe be pretty balanced(except being more chaos than chaos i cant cope with that).I dont know from where i heard that i think grotesques will be melee infiltrated specialist so i think V-Eldar may get striking scorpions aspect along with AAA which is pretty sick and if they are invicible mele specialists-that will add more fun in ground battles.And if SoB get some of the melee type assasin that will be thier part from that new kind of infiltrated melee warfare.Now lets forget the balance part and look at the campaign(who the fuck doesnt even try it :) ?! thats rhetoric :) )-the campaign will be sick as well IMO lol can you imagine intergalactic warfare and conquering-that will just be sick i am sure i will even play the campaign with all the races which is at least 1 month non-stop playing which will be my longest ever campaign to go through.And other aspect of the new expansion is the DC AI mod which for sure wil lbe incorporated in Soulstorm as well which will be my second 3 years skirmish battles after Generals, ZH and ShockWave( i got my net recently only few months ago only so you can imagine if i have my PC from 5 years or 4 : ) how much i played in skirmish against AI on all the games)
All in all that exp will be sick i am sure i may even play the game long enough to become pro on that game even :) . I am sure it will be a hookage for all the fans and will be game odf the year.
I will be happy Eldar if they make the Harlequins be in troupe instead of being single commanders.Something like command squads which becomes very powerful late tiers.
Now when it comes to talking of tiers most of the battles end at t2 or 3 only team games may end at t4(if its so much contested battle :) )So IMO opininon i am sure aircraft will be t5 which you can imagine will be achievable only in team games where players really want some aircraft into it.
I am sure the Dark Eldar transports with Infa shooting from inside will be sick along with all their other mobile, hovering,open-toped vehicles.
Now lets check the only aspect of the expansion which remained untalked about-the global bonuses of collecting Souls(for D. Eldar) and Faith(for SoD)-i am sure these bonuses will be sick as well maybe something like dmg bonus(temporary of course lol !)invurnerability or morale immunity.
Thats all from me about that Expansion with capital E :) .

That's just the thing though Felix. Necron aren't supposed to have morale. For all intents and purposes, the Necron are machines, and last I checked, machines don't cry, nor do they feel fear (they don't feel anything for that matter). The Necrons shouldn't be at all effected by the morale breaking aspect of the flamer, but they are, so go figure :P .

The game might not change all that much, but it's hard to say, since neither of us have actually played Soul Storm yet. If I had to guess though, the game and its strategies won't change to the point where you must develop entirely new ones. You might have to readjust some things, but I doubt very much you'll have to make a whole new play book.

I would add one more thing to my statement-if i was from the balance team of the game-i would never make NW morale immune-that will just be too much you cannot kill em if cannot demoralize.Atm you cannot even harras their ecco effectively cause the necron will just teleport ALL his army and fend you of-you make losses, he none.So just have it in mind if you were some other race how would you like morale immune NW.Just like now Chaos with their nearly all units morale immune arent crazy.
For me both Chaos and Necron players-if they know how to abuse(yes abuse not just use)for Chaos the insane teching time which allow em to be t3 while the enemy is t2or even t1 or just t4 in the first 6 mins while fighting(thats for 1v1 and not only),and necrons if they know how to gather the mass and use wraiths 100% effective for tieing up-then you wont stand a chance against these.
Believe me i played alot against such guys-they are currently bugg abusers for me.(Hunter dont be offended you are NOT one of these in my eyes :P ).
But at least i am happy about one thing-i am sure more than 50% of the players of Soulstorm will be playing the 2 new races-which means less mirrros for me.
And i am sure the SoB Flamers and arty will hurt even the necrons badly.
Against necrons you need 3 things:
1)Disruptance-so you wont allow em to use their deadly firepower
2)morale dmg lots of it-so you wont alllow NW to roll over you easily
3)lots of dmg-necrons are a tough race
But till you get all these 3 its a gg for the necron player in most of the cases.Because untill you get all these 3 aspects in your army its t3 or even t4 for necron and because of only countering you are t2(maybe t3 if you are a fast techer guy like chaos).

Half the time you don't even need Necron warriors. 1 or 2 squads max. The bulk of your army should be Destroyers. I wouldn't complain about abusing Felix, the Avatar build speed bonus is pretty damned imbalanced. It is possible to Eldar fast tech. Warp Spiders > Warriors (regardless of morale). Necrons aren't all that tough. Their infantry have fairly average health, and their vehicles are on the low end of health.

Well but you can just telport your NL and release Veil Of Darkness there-thats first thing against WS/second solar pulse-you cant say necrons dont have a way to deal with WS and if some Wraiths are added with the ability-that gets disbalanced to me already .
And about Avatar boost-if you let some Eldar go that far! you must be wrong with your strategy or something.At least in 1v1s in teamgammes it wont probably get that far-but Eldar still need the boost to keep up with the late tiers needs for units.
And for the avatar eldar players have two choices-leave it in the base so you can have the boost(and protect your base)/or use its morale immunity bonus to nearby units in battle and endanger you eco and reinforcements-so you cant say Avatar isnt balanced because of that-you just can use it or not-no more no less.There isnt middle state-if it comes to Avatar and equivalents of the other fractions-then the battle has prolonged a lot-which means you cant prevail over your enemy easily neither can he which for you must mean that you arent good enough.
And fairly average HP doesnt mean 1k HP for gods sake!-even WS dont have that much with both HP upgrades/no to say that even bansheses dont have that much despite being melee specialists with even lower amour type-just take a look of the things from that side< :P(shooting unit to have more HP and armour earlier than a melee specialized/even dedicated unit)

Warriors only have 1000 health when they're upgraded. Their normal health is a rather par 400 or so. Warp Spiders can teleport out of Solar pulse, so don't go using that. Wraiths get annihilated by Warp Spiders too. Early game, Banshees rip straight through Warriors. Later game you have the Seer Council and Wraithlords.

Stop it with the Necron imbalanced argument. It's a game, all races are imbalanced in one way or another.

Listen gents. I know both of you know this, but I'm going to say it anyway. It all comes down to how the player uses a race. Some might call the Necron OP if they're attacked by Alias. Others might call the Eldar OP if Felix attacks them. It's just how games are. The person that uses a side the way they're supposed to is often the subject of "blahblah race is OP!!"

There are facts on both sides of the line. The thing is though, like and play as who you want. Just do yourself and all of us a favor: realize that there are people for and against your chosen race. Be willing to accept their side of the argument :cool: .

agreed....I mean at sum points most of the ppl say that the IG is underpowered and suck until someone who knows how to play with the IG comes and pwns the shit out of everyone...It all depends on how well you play with a race.Those that are randomisers and know at least averagely play with all 7 races they get my respect

Shh dont say IG is(no one must hear me)underpowered-they got so much nasty things that i loose to IG players really often if it comes to their nasty things<(damm too much noise somone will hear me that i am saing IG is underpowered noo/no wait i said it OPed noo again someone will flame me...).
