Ok, that changes a bit. Next time can you quote which one you mean? Because otherwise it gets too difficult knowing which hint is partially correct or not.

congyobing, jianbing, laobing, puri, umm.... roti?

Those are all the Asian pancake-liken things I can think off at the moment. (there's also a Mayasian type eaten with awesome spciy sauce, but I don't remember the name XD)

Possibly it's not pancake-like, so Wotou, which is basically a corn muffin (a scone?) Mantou, which is steamed bread. (prolly not it since it's totally white).
