The soryline is just there to add a little uniqueness to the mod.
It also ties in with the custom campaign for each general and makes the mod different to all the other mods out there.
If we get hosted, myself and Red will talk about the storyline in more detail.

Lots of people play the mod for its story. If it just has the same nooby story that the people have seen a million times before then they wont even consider pressing the download button.

EDIT: Pirate cleared it up a little bit but the storyline is still a bit "wtf" if you ask me.

i clicked on join at the main-site. but when i click send, it brings me back to the main page, where the story-line is.

Well, your story should probably be kept alive to distance this mod from the already existing CnC Europe mod.

The models are good, except for the challenger. My opinion about it that it is ugly and has too many useless polygons. The rest is good quality.

Shirou you're right, cause if we only add the EU faction this mod will be just like CnC Europe and we dont wanna make a rip-off. But about the storyline, if someone knows better then fill in the join application and become our "Storyliner" :P

Well, if the Story gets a bit more edited / detailed here and there , the uniqueness shouldn't be a Problem anymore.

About the Models I kind of agree with Shirou, redo the Challenger, the rest is looking good.

Are there any Nuke's involved? :P

If you follow all the Points most People stated here there shouldn't be any Problems for this Mod to become successful.

And what the fuck is that supposed to mean? I was giving you advice. Not insulting you. If you dont want my advice I will leave and not give it to you. I dont want any pathetic forum wars.
EDIT: If you would rather I dont give you any Constructive Critisism- which I was doing then I will leave. But I am not going to say how amazing something is when I do not believe it is. Your models are good. But it isnt just models that make a mod.

To be honest the work done till now is nt enough to get hosted. Due to too many failed projects we have upped our selection criteria for hostee status. Unfortunately you are still lacking in many areas to be granted a section for your own. We dont really care about the story nor do we care which sides you are add (For all i care you can add the republic of Bhutan) but we do care about the fact that you are lacking some basic skills from your team. You are lacking a skinner, Models are just okish but need work, haven't seen any evidence of in game codes to verify if you have a coder or not. until we see evidence that this mod has all then things in place resource wise and are confident that this mod will see progress in the future rather then stagnation after initial few weeks of development we can't grant you hostee status.

I feel neglected as not being mentioned as part of the team :(.

Anywho.

I love the story line, as Mik said it adds uniqueness (that a word?) to the mod. It does need patching up a bit but when finished it will silence you all ...

I understand we need to fill key positions within the team but when that's done can you admins (we love you) please consider us?

Nice job pirate btw for beefing up the story.

@ Prophet - we are working on increasing our team by recruiting skinners. We do have a coder, just we haven't added him to team list yet and we haven't got him to do any work yet.

@AZZKIKR - we have received your application and we are considering you as i type. and no the UAN list is not finished yet.

Well this isn't the same nooby story that people have heard a million times, also a story is only 10% of a mod, the other 90% are the models, skin and code.

The story is the first impression people get. They will not download a mod if it gives them a bad impression when they first come across it.

If I am looking at a mod, the story is the last thing I look at because its the skirmish/multiplayer games that I will play, not the actual story. As Zeke and I have already said, the story means nothing to the mod. It's a preamble. It won't affect the mod in anyway at all.

Talus will be our main coder...

till now I did the coding... all the units that are rendered are working in the game, we also have coded some very cool particle effects.

its just.. we won't make those public. (yet)

if you want we could send you (POTP) some ingame screenies.

@ prophet again - I am gonna set most people in the mod a task in the very near future to try and get what u advised done. The skinners are gonna start properly working and i am gonna get my chief coding man to do some nice things for you.
