Nice work Cattman. Maybe this could be stickied in the this or the tutorials forum?

Here a few more links to some tutorials:
More Tutorials
If this thread could get stickied i think it would be rather helpfull as people would not have to look through pages of topics to find this, Just an idea mind.

Not a bad starting point I must say. Though there are some at GI that are just pants. No offence to the tut makers there, I am a member there also. If I ever recover my book marks from FF I will add some. Cattman where else you a member?
Edit: When i say pants, I mean in terms of the level of the tutorial and not the actual artwork created. Quite a few tutorials assume that the user will know most of the effects when they could explain them more clearly. Which could be very off putting for more inexperienced PSers. Not true of any of Remarcus' work though.

I am a igraphixz & gfxfreakz kinda guy myself, along with GI and one or two others. Sigshare is an ok venue, but more a show off site then anything else. Mind you Planet Renders is a very good venue for sigs.
Cattman2236 18 Dec 2007
Yeah Planet renders is rather good, Some of the renders are top notch there. Especially if you see the Premium stuff, that blows your mind lol.
I reckon me and you should work on a project some day, Like a website skin or something, Could prove rather amusing lol.

Deviant Art also has a great pretty good selection for GIMP brushes as well, and also has several PS brushes that have been converted to GIMP use.

Although I know Lord Atlantis is talking about brushes etc, be VERY VERY CAREFUL when using deviantart stuff. They can get very pissy with people who take and don't credit their work. I can not join up to the forums because my ISP is blocked because of other rippers.
I have some stuff to post here but will take a will to sort it out. BRB.
I have also added this to the tutorials thread

Yeah, I hate how the DevianTards throw a s***fit when you use something they made. Then they whine to the admins and try to have you sued. -_-
Wizard 28 Dec 2007
I can sorta understand their reasoning, if I could make some stuff like them then i would have the proverbable shit-fit if someone ripped my work with a "fook you very much matey"
On a seperate note there is *breaking news moment* coming soon to this thread or similliar - won't say anymore now, but watch this space.

I've put in a temporary replacement link. I'm not sure if it is as good as the original, but it will do for now till Cattman gets back.

I found this whilst trawling through the depths of the interwebz.
http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/
Thought it might be handy for some of those without PS.
