Soulstorm demo out now!

I however recommend to not download it from there but from this torrent I'm having much higher download speeds with this.


Recently this page appeared on filefront, subscribers can preorder/load it or W/E and others can have an email notification sent to them when it's out, which should be very soon I think

I know? I don't expect there to be any subscribers here, but I expect there to be many people who'd want to know about this and also be informed via mail
Once it's out, it can be downloaded by anyone and all the subscribers get is a pre-download so they don't have to download once it's released.

I'll circumvent the demo and just get back to waiting for the final release . However, this would give me something to tide my appetite for all things DoW. *ponders*

One note: When looking at the screenshots, I noticed a Sister of Battle with a twin barrled weapon. I'm guessing that's a multi-melta. If that's the case, I wonder if Space Marine armies (and the Imperial Guard) will have access to that wonderful tank buster as well.

i assume no, it will sister of battle only to make diferrences between the all the empire sides

That and they have this whole "cleanse with fire" theme going it would make sense they only get it. Even though I'd love to have the toys

yeh I would like to see multi meltas at least in the IG to make the Guardsmen a bit chance to survive contact with tanks

WARNING, SPOILERS AHOY!

IG:
Something gets a multimelta (Maybe meltas for regualr guardsmen? Would make sense) upgrade, sentinels can also take multimeltas
New units: Leman Russ Demolisher, Marauder

Space Marines:
Missile launchers are purchased as either krak (anti-vehicle) or frag (anti inf).
New units: Techmarine, Land Raider Tempest

Necrons:
The Deceiver. 'nuff said

Eldar:
New units: Wraithguard, Nightwing

Tau:
New units: Piranha, Barracuda

Chaos:
Same thing with the SM missile launchers. Also appears something gets a multimelta, I'm assuming that's the Chaos dred.
New Units: Chaos Dreadnaught, Hell Talon

Orks:
Ork, ork, ork, ork, ork, ork, ork, ork...
New Units: Gun Wagon, Fighta Bomba

Dark Eldar:
Can't be bothered writing up all their units, but anyway... They're pretty awesome to play, very specialised but glass cannons at the same time. Sort of like Eldar, except pretty different. They're so damn disturbing... Buildings build like Protoss buildings, worker units collect souls of dead enemies which can be used for soul powers, which do various things and work like ZH abilities, I guess.

Witch Hunters:
Can't be bothered writing all their units either, but what is interesting is it seems they get a temple assassin of some variety. Not sure which one, all it says is 'assassin'.

Then my jaw dropped when its special ability knocked out no less than 5 space marine turrets in a single sweep.

I find air units to work much like helicopters, which is something I feared would happen.

That's how I expected them to work as well... Best way to implement them IMO, they're not really a dominant force on the battlefield (Although the IG Marauder may be)
