I've only seen the first two parts and compared to the ambience of the games which these films entirely failed to recreate, they were both shit.
Guess the third is not much different then: Lots of exaggerated fights and gunplay, martial arts like there's no tomorrow and cuts which are too fast for human eyes to perceive. I just hate this kind of film and they are so common these days...

Casino Royale 9.5/10

Like many people - I suppose - I totally underestimated Daniel Craig. This film proved me wrong. He kicks the crap out of the classic Bond, the emotionally untouchable smart-arse who used to master any situation without breaking a sweat and replaced him with a new Bond. A Bond who does have feelings, a Bond who does get angry and a Bond who does have weaknesses. Very enjoyable film, way better than I expected and I hope that future 007-films will keep up this new and refreshing style. I'm not saying that the old Bond was entirely bad but the last few films with that style, namely The World Is Not enough and Die Another Day showed that this model is getting old and boring as they were just a bunch of fancy special effects and nonstop-action

Room 1408, 5/10. Really disapointed, I was not scared, not creeped out. No snakes (shame on you Samuel L. Jackson). It just was not scary. Yes it was messed up in some parts but not enough to make me lose any sleep. The acting was good, the movie was crap.

Last Samurai
9 / 10
Great film, there could have been more about the philosophy behind the samurai cause but it's still a good movie. It even has a reference to Sparta.

The Reaping 1/10 , um this is a movie which should be made ten years before , really ugly and there is no quality behind it as both special effects and acting.

Plot is a little thin, but I love air combat. Especially WW1 air combat.

I saw that one too recently, pretty good. I had some problems with the camera man and the filmography.

We Own the Night

I personally liked this movie because it was a very realistic film. There was very little special effects, the car wreck in the movie is real unlike those exaggerated crashes in a lot of movies nowadays. If you have the patience to watch the Departed, you'll like this movie. The ending disappointed me though, I figured it out way before the movie was over. However, I liked the overall story and the acting was great.

Hot Fuzz.

One of the few movies that manages to mix all the genres in without sucking. A lot of the people talked to quietly though, and I had to crank the volume up, only to be met with HUGE EXPLOSIONS AND LOUD SHOUTING!! Although, I susally have a short attention span when it comes to movies, but this kept my attention the whole way through.

Shoot 'Em Up (Shump hehehe) gets a 10/10 for me, it is so pure, so un-clogged by a plot line full of plot-holes, I love the simple concept, I love the battle scenes, I love the witty lines and most of all, I LOVE THE FREKKIN' CAROTS!!!

28 Weeks Later. 8/10.

Pretty well done, loved the napalm and the gore - although it was pretty far fetched.

Tenacious D: the Pick of Destiny 10/10

I seriously recommend this movie if you like Jack Black and haven't seen it. It has an awesome soundtrack and since Jack Black is pretty much a genius in comedy (in my opinion) the movie is pretty much garunteed satisfaction.

Besides, it's a true story.... which makes it better. :stickattack2:

Saw IV
8/10
Certainly not as classic as the first one, but better than the last one. The story continues more in spirit of Saw III than of the first two. It gets more rewarding towards the end, though.
