Stargate: The Ark of Truth

Honestly, it was like a lengthy version of a Stargate SG1 Episode, but it was much better. The graphics of the actual events were quite good, and one of the original bad guys of the series returned: the replicators. Very good plot throughout the whole movie.

The Kite Runner

Intriguing, to say the least. It's the archetype of a book-adaptation. The storyline is the best thing about it.

Vantage Point 7/10

The movie really dragged in the beginning due to the fact they repeated the same scene a few times (from different perspectives), but, when it was on the final point of view, the movie felt like it was over in 20 minutes.

The Bourne Identity

Haven't seen the other two films (have them tho, got a trilogy box) yet. It's a cool movie, yet it doesn't really have much stand out scenes because they probably leave a lot of clues to the other films.

Broken Arrow [ 9/10 ]

Good acting by John Travolta, a bit overused storyline but it had some unique aspects in it. All in all, a film I enjoyed.

Returner. an awesome film about a south korean hitman living and working in Japan. also theres a girl that travels back through time to save the human race from an alien invasion. they team up and much chaos ensues. there is also a transforming 747 - 400 which is the scout craft for the aliens and this was all several years before Transformers. 10/10 superb!

The Fifth Element - What can I say.. quite an odd film, I was expecting something more serious. It was okay though and the old CGI / Costumes made me laugh. 8/10

The Rock 10/10

One of the best casts in film history, bettered only by the Itailain Job and The Great Escape.

Dry humour from Sean Connery artfully played off by Cage.

@The Dr. Yeah I did watch it on C4 last night. I hadn't seen it before then. Its got something about a cult appeal about it. That high pitched dude is really annoying though.

Vantage Point 8/10

A truly good film with an interesting plot and nice twists completely ruined by two of the gayest lines ever right at the end. Shameful.

No Country for Old Men 7/10

I don't really have any complaints other than I really fucking hated the way it ended. I'm one of those people that doesn't to be left hanging at the end of a movie... Basically, I need closure. That, and I don't think the storyline was very original. I mean, once you go into specifics, yeah it's a bit original but it's still nothing really special.

Anyway, I liked the movie enough to watch it to the end but I gotta say I probably wouldn't watch it again.

Planet Terror 5/10 Quentin Tarantino-like film, either you love it or shove it

Saw3 - 6/10 no sequel can beat Saw1 which had this "WTF" effect and I didn't like the fact that Jicksaw took Amanda as his "pupil". One scene brought me to the moment, where I said:"Ok, this movie is too much unrealistic!" and :-/ (brain operation done buy ONE surgeon and without fixation and proper "tools" - never!)

Jumper - 5/10 Nice idea, which would fit perfectly into the marvel universe, but too less potential used and the story was a bit cheesy

Grow Your Own - British film making at its best. Witty and enjoyable and the actors were not perfectly scuplted edifices to beauty. 9/10

Dragon Wars

I am searching for a reason not to give this movie a 1/10. That reason I found, the Chinese Dragon on the end scene was cool.

2/10

This is a disgrace to monster movies...

The Kingdom - 9.9/10 Great movie. Probably one of the most unbiased movies about Saudi you're likely to see come out of America. That said there were some issues.

Well - i actually just watched the Kingdom today - been wanting to for ages - anyways - I thought it was great - very moving in parts and quite horrific in others - but i agree with Wizard - a very unbiased movie considering it's come from America - although I'll doubt there'll be many Americans who appreciate it as much as we non-Americans do. Great movie, great storyline, inevitable ending to a degree, but still very unpredictable and very edgy.

Re-Watched Canadian Bacon just now 7/10

Plot funny as hell, at least from a Canadian or American perview
Special effects 4/10 low budget 1995 movie
A few decent actors: Alan Alda, John Candy...
Kinda preechy

But you know its one of those movies that you watch just to laugh at abit.

Also saw the Kingdom a few months ago in theatres loved it, also the 5th Element Rocks.
